Yes but is it big in Notts, thats what we want to know!
-
What a bizarre description...as if the fact that something is massive in "Notts" would be tempting? https://cgi.ebay.com/IT-MUST-BE-LOVE-Modern...1QQcmdZViewItem

Collection of Kent albums including some of the less frequently seen ones. Some of the covers have light wear and or tracks marked off on the back cover but practically all of the actual vinyl albums are mint or thereabouts. Kent 042 has the corners cut for some reason. These would cost you between £12 and £25 each from most sellers. I'm asking £150 the lot. I'll also do free postage but parcel post only. Early 6ts/100 Club Membership List - Wot Number U Got?
Pete S replied to a topic in All About the SOUL
It was right on the beach, I went to 2 of them in 1988 or 89, numbers were good to start but by the last one I went to they'd had to draw a huge curtain across half of the hall to make it look like there were more people in (in other words, reduce the size by 50%). Jon Buck always used to dj there. I remember seein Kim Styles there and I went with Anton, Brent Howarth ripped me off over a record and still owes me the thieving ****. I also saw the best dancer I've ever seen there, never saw him again... -
Ian Levine managed to find him for his film..

Rare opportunity to own one of the best records ever made: MONIQUE - IF YOU LOVE ME (SHOW ME) / NEVER LET ME GO - MAURCI 04. Condition is VG+, both sides play great, bit of crackle at the start of both sides, does not sound like a frying pan full of bacon cooking though! Very powerful sound wise. Initials on A side. MP3 available. £400

major Lance was supposed to play the Casino in either April or May 77 but for one reason or another he didn't turn up. I did a tape that night and remember therewere more people in than usual.

Why do they do it? At the moment on ebay therearetwo bidders from the USA who bid on every piece of skinhead reggae, they don't pay and are booted off, then the next week they appear again with different ID's. I have to keep looking at bidders on my auctions to see if there are any bidders from the USA with zero feedback and then I have to ban them...every person selling this type of reggae has had this problem. Then of course there's the people who reserve a record off the list and never pay...why???

Oh grow up, if you don't want me to post any live tapes without asking you first, just say so. I got it in the post off Andy yesterday, I never heard it before so I thought I'd share it with everyone, I thought it was his and didn't know it was already circulating.

This is on my podcast site not on the soul source site
-
Leave it to me..I've got 2 or 3 of em
-
Del I was thinking exactly the same - I never went but my goodness, I wish I had! I also hadn't realised that many of my favourite records of that time weren't Wigan at all but were Cleethorpes sounds. Great stuff.
-
Hayes Cotton sounds exactly like Barney Gumble off the Simpsons
-
Except for that terrible Eve Of Eden record Parade Of A Bunch Of Fools - the one with the circus intro - terrible
-
Cheers. Fantastic sounds too. Even the 70's new releases were great!
-
Richard Searling John Vincent Alan Rhodes Pep my 4 favourite dj's of all time nowadays, not bothered..
-
How many can you vote for, 1...3???

Thats right, levine never found anything did he. Oh I forgot, he discovered almost all of the records that the early northern scene was based on, thats all.
