  1. Would you like me to get you a spellchecker Nev?
  2. Yeah, always liked it from it's very first play...loved to dance to it
  3. Oh well, serves me right for not looking I suppose. What about the blue ones, arethey the same price?
  4. Seriously??? I sold that for 10 quid about 6 weeks ago, I honestly didn't think it had any value at all! You could just buy it as a new release, there were millions of them.
  5. Lonnie Liston Smith - Say you love me - Hitman 12" single. Just found this in a pile of reggae albums, does it mean anything to anyone?
  6. I think Herman Rarity is a great name actually might use it for my ebay seller name
  7. It was Barbara Jean English...Tastes Sour Don't It
  8. Can't believe nobody wants a really nice Frankie Crocker original. Times really must be hard! FRANKIE LOVE MAN CROCKER - TON OF DYNAMITE - PINK TURBO ORIGINAL. IT GOES FROM EX- TO EX IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS FROM THE START. I'M BEING OVER CAUTIOUS HERE! IT'S A GREAT COPY. £200
  9. Just to update this, I have now heard from Paloma and the record will be sent back today. So now it's for sale again. Full MP3 available elsewhere on the site.
  10. I'm afraid that one isn't going to help you move house - it's worth no more than 10 quid
  11. Not disputing what you are saying, just telling you my experience.
  12. Three different types of scan used to illustrate the records as well
  13. I think Chris told me that some of them were recut when they moved to LA in the early 70's. I might be wrong.
  14. I don't know why the name of John Bowie has been thrown into the discussion but he has no connection with this record whatsoever. Did he even record in LA, ever?
  15. I disagree, if you have a good listen to "No Time" it's clearly the same person as on "My baby came from out of nowhere". But like I said, I was in correspondence with Charles Diamonds wife before anyone else and she says it's him singing on the record...though J Hendley was one of their best friends
  16. Oh dear, I'm shocked and surprised at this. I also bought an acetate. But having said that, it was of an unissued track and only one other person has it so I'm not gonna complain.
  17. No relation to any I don't think. Midas is from Chicago I think. Breakthru from LA
  18. I know mate, it's much appreciated. Not having too good a time at the moment with the curse of alzheimers affecting the family in a very big way this last few months and now thats coming to a head (it's not me with it by the way!) but I'm a bit depressed anyway. Found out I've got a lot of friends this last few days though Onwards and upwards!
  19. Hmm but if she's got me on a list of blocked senders she won't know I've emailed her
  20. 15 years ago I'd have obliged, nowadays I'd be tied to a desk and left there
  21. OK I've had enough of this now so I have written to Paloma and told her that I will give her a full refund if the record is returned to me by registered post. I can't do anymore than that. Thanks to everyone who sent messages of support both on here and on my mailing list and apologies to the 99% of you who told me to stick to my guns but at the end of the day, she's the customer and I should not be getting into fights with customers over records.
  22. Very kind of you to say so Baz, thank you
  23. That is a definite boot I'm afraid
  24. Well she's already been removed from the list but so have a couple of other people who wrote to me from Spain informing me that I'd "ripped them off years ago" and now wanted to be removed from the list. What a coincidence that they should suddenly remember that this weekend and not ever mention it previously...
