  1. The PB is only on the Seven days Of Loving You side. That embossed logo comment taken from Johns book is a bit of a red herring, it's just the typeface that makes it look embossed.
  2. I also met this chap - in Hastings! He publishes, or used to publish, a record listing book called The Music Master catalogue. meanwhile, I used to work for the UK Music Master catalogue, so our boss invited him over for talks about teaming up. Nothing came of it as we got bought out by Robert Maxwell and the rest is (sad) history.
  3. bottom corner of every post
  4. Stacks ending today, several 50 to 100 quid items still stuck at a fiver, why not grab em! https://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZmayfair...1QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0
  5. Not MY copy of The Enema Bandit, honest, it was part of a tape someone lent me years ago called Death Scenes II. Actually thats just as bad really.
  6. I'm humbled to receive so many mentions, I really am. I'm always left in awe by the knowledge of many people on here. And also, my memory is going, previously if you'd ask me what year a particular record came out I'd tell you within 2 seconds, now I'm having to pause and think, and that doesn't bode well for the future. Now where did I put my slippers..
  7. He sings that line though...so girl don't, don't make me wait
  8. John did a guest spot at the Wulfrun in Wolverhampton once and played it then - also played James Fountain and The Chase Is On. Funny how you remember daft things like that 32 years later
  9. Cleethorpes then Wigan
  10. He found the entire stock at the tail end of the 70's. I must have had 3 in the last year Russ. In fact I've stopped buying it now as it's quite hard to sell. Mick Smith's always got one in his box as well.
  11. Blimey that's a deep voiced woman
  12. Sounds like in the background someone sings Lend A Hand then he comes in immediately with the above
  13. Anyway I've posted the full version of that up a couple of years ago, I think it was made by Ian levine and Neil Rushton but the person who'll know most about it is Dazz who posts records for sale on here sometimes because he sent it me back in the 90's and I still have the cd somewhere
  14. as opposed to just 'pathetic' like yourself...
  15. It's been a standard 100 quid for years now but there are a lot about (the majority found by Kev Roberts in bulk) and it's hard to sell..
  16. 01902 893569 pete.smith@freeuk.com LOU COURTNEY - TRYIN TO FIND MY WOMAN - BUDDAH DJ EX- 35 (very light crackle right at the start) THE FABULOUS PEPS - SHE'S GOING TO LEAVE YOU - GE GE EX 60 SILKY HARGRAVES - LOVE LET'S TRY IT AGAIN / I'LL KEEP ON TRYING - WHEELSVILLE EX 180 JOHNNY COOPER - FALLOUT - BARRINGTON MINT 100
  17. A bargain? Are you mad? Me singing into a paper cup and recording it on a soundhog cassette would sound berter than that! Just think, if they put that back to back with George Lemons. The military could use it to inflict damage in Afghanistan.
  18. John Manships price guide killed off a lot of dealers and part time sellers and still continues to do so. What a great idea, tell everyone in the States that their records are worth hundreds of dollars.
  19. I put up quite a few here https://www.rare-soul.com/wordpress/?page_id=181 you might also like these https://www.rare-soul.com/wordpress/?page_id=176
  20. Remember the otherweek when I put that Cleethorpes 75 tape up as a podcast, a couple of people asked about the weird record with the circus intro, that was Eve Of Eden - Parade Of A Bunch Of Fools...well anyway, I just spotted one in case anyone wants it https://cgi.ebay.com/Eve-Of-Eden-Parade-Of-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  21. No if it were my band I'd be playing Ramones covers mainly
  22. To be honest I think he's more after musicians rather than punters to go watch them!
  23. What you on about Macca?
