In the real world, £75...I thought the Veep one wasn't hard either
-
Spot on with Blanche Carter...but how can anyone not like Panic? Gives me the shivers if I haven't heard it for a long time, reminds me of the very first time I heard it, someone had come back from Wigan and taped the night (this is a few months before I went) and I heard it on there, complete with clapping...fantastic times
-
True. Terrible record.
-
A storming uptempo dancer...
-
It's never really been played. The other side, Do I, was a mid 77 spin and was popular enough, just about, to be booted, and the b side was a tape swappers record until it got a few plays out in the late 90's.
-
Never gonna happen. Such a record does not exist. But on this one, True Lovers is the Northern side, never even heard mention of the other side to be honest
-
People have always tried to pretend things didn't happen but like you say, big sounds and still classics!
-
On VeeJay and not a 10" but apart from that, spot on Harry

I'm f*cked if I'm having someone say 'shame on you' for not liking the same records as they do. Where do we find some of these people? -

Oh shut up for Christs sake -
I've got a copy, I love it, happy memories of 1976, half the people who slag it off don't know what a Northern Soul record is anyway
-
Well he knows more than most of us put together
-
What, Manchesters Playboys? Might just have to do that Steve...
-
Got some reggae and ska in sales today actually...

Heard A Record Thats Worse Than The Carstairs

Thats how you hear it Kev, I have no problem with that, everyone has different tastes and opinions, which is why we have a forum to discuss it. I hear it as one of the worst vocals ever recorded, and I promise, I'm not the only one. It's screetchy and out of tune. And so are the backing singers. -
RUFUS LUMLEY 10, FIDELS 15, DELLS 15...IF YOU CAN SELL THEM. I PAID £3 FOR THE FIDELS IN 1974, THAT WAS 2 WEEKS PAPER ROUND MONEY!

Well I can guarantee you that any decision like that would have been made by Peter Grant and by the record label because Robert Plant has always doffed his cap to his influences and wouldn't have taken that stance. -

Yes. Hilarious. I like Magic Carpet Ride. -
Heard A Record Thats Worse Than The Carstairs
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in All About the SOUL
Didn't they rip it off the Small Faces who adapted it as an album track? Might be getting my tracks mixed up but on the Small Faces first album they do a very well known rock song which was then adapted -
I think we may have to say that they all exist as issues, I didn't think there were Yum Yums or Earl jackson issues, but I've seen them now so the rest must be out there somewhere

Well I knew Phil Shelton for years, and his sister, before you knew him in fact and it never meant f all to me. I also don't understand the point of this post Paul, you saying I'm not allowed to mention the title of a record because it reminds you of someone?
