The difference is it's completely different, if you can't actually hear it by listening to the record then it's pointless me trying to explain, they're playing a different tune on the trumpets for a start!

It's not an exact copy, it's a variation on it using the original backing track, there are four or five versions, maybe more. I got lots of money for it so I don't care

That Jimmy Delphs record is terrible, so is the Esquires version, hate that song. The actual song.

As you say, it was around, everywhere - but nobody ever played it because it was too cheap and too common...until..

I think that Pharrell Williams record does have one or two decent qualities though, I could live with that for a while I think. Plus I like seeing my kids dance to it.
