What a fabulous collection - but it's a shame. nobody seems to collect LP's nowadays, I had some lovely albums up last week and barely sold one, even on ebay the Garland Green album (with all the best knonw tracks) only made £22.

OK, so it's not that bad - but I just wonder about why certain records which aren't in the slightest bit rare, get put into these auctions - and of course as soon as people see what it sells for, they all up their prices.

Can't understand why anyone would want to buy it in an auction, it's easily obtainable for under £100, it's hard to sell, and it's a tenth rate dancer!

You know what it's like when you've got no money and the very, very last thing you sell is your favourite record? It's a horrible feeling. And it happened to me twice with the same record, f*cking gutted both times, though I got 300 and 200 for it respectively...anyway I swore if I ever got the opportunity to buy it again, I would, and I would NEVER sell it again. Well I got it on sunday and it arrived today. Only Good Plus and still over 100 quid but honestly, this is the greatest ska instrumental ever recorded and if anyone tells you different they are either a liar or they are Tony Rounce. No, it's still good - apart from that glitch at the start. Remember early days of the net, found 3 copies of this is a New York record store, when they came...yep, 3 boots!

One other way of telling which nobody ever mentions - play the record, and you'll hear that the sound in one channel hasn't been turned up until 15 seconds in when it suddenly comes up to the same level as the other channel, makes you jump!

I found one at Tunbridge Wells record fair in the late 80's - sold it for £30, which was a lot of money for something pretty unknown at the time....soon regretted it. Anyway I think you'll find the rarest form is actually the UK Atlantic demo - blank yellow demo labels with handwritten titles - 3 known copies
