  2. Mick Smiths got a vg+ one he'll probably flog you for 30 quid
  3. I watched it sunday, thought it was ok but little for any soul fans to get worked up about and 95% of the film was just a rural drama with some light comedy moments...a good 5 minutes rocking blues session at the end...apart from that...totally forgettable.
  4. No, but thats a beauty! Never even heard of it before
  5. Because it's one of those commercial records Jayne, i.e. it was in the charts, the other Pete has it spot on about playing it alongside Johnny Johnson etc. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it.
  6. I'd expect to hear it at a "soul and motown" night

  8. Ian I'll swap you an original Carstairs Red Coach WD for it
  9. Yeah I'd say 50 tops for Donald Jenkins, great record but very common.
  10. No I don't think it does, which makes me think, I don't think I've ever had an original demo at all
  11. It's a moot point but I would have to disagree with you that it's a better record than either of those two..
  12. RARE STOCK COPY OF THE ARABIANS - PLEASE TAKE A CHANCE ON ME / YOU UPSET ME BABY - LE MANS 004. This one looks about EX- b ut plays like a dream, Mint minus at the worst. NO hiss, scratches or clicks - superb. (writing on one side only) £200 ono
  13. NIce one. Though this one doesn't need sound clips cos I just wanted to find out how many variations of labels there are.
  14. Jayne, playing this out is the equivalent to playing Theres A Ghost In My House or Out On The Floor. Not that there's anything wrong with them mind...
  15. THE APPRECIATIONS - SHE NEVER REALLY LOVED ME / THERE'S A PLACE IN MY HEART - SPORT 108 YELLOW ISSUE. STAMPED. NEAR MINT. £70 MADELINE BELL - PICTURE ME GONE - MOD 1007 STOCK COPY EXCELLENT. £25 THE BROADWAYS - YOU JUST DON'T KNOW - MGM13592 STOCK COPY. NEAR MINT. £35 pete.smith@freeuk.com 01902 893569 post 2.00 recorded
  16. I don't think that's really a novelty record apart from the daft lyrics and title, it's a typical period pyschedelic/whimsy/toytown pop record. They did a great version of "Soul Sauce" though. And a cover of "I'll Always Love You"
  17. This got in the lower reaches of the Top 40 so why it should cost anything over £25 is a bit of a mystery - can clearly remember hearing it on radio 1 when I was about 8. Great record though.
  18. Yeah thats one of my early works
  19. This is the fastest Northern record ever - same backing as The Butlers - She Tried To Kiss Me p.s. £30 is top whack for this
  20. I don't understand what the record has to have to qualify, it just looks like it's any record by a woman basically?
  21. TOMMY MOSLEY - FOR HER LOVE / YOU LIED, I CRIED, LOVE DIED - UPTOWN 706. SOLD Really excellent double sider - £125 on JM - this has superficial marks which make it visually vg+ but it plays near mint, both sides. Asking £70 including postage. cheers pete 01902 893569 pete.smith@freeuk.com
  22. Had some enquiries about these but nothing yet sold so am bumping again...don't see these every day
  23. Not sure I know who he is, must have had some clout to get his own logo though
  24. Hurrah, I think I found a new one..
