  1. The Dynamics - I Need Your Love - RCA. Never fails.
  2. But look at something like "Bari Track" - I had one on here last week at a set sale price (think it was £600), it didn't sell, I had to put it on ebay and it went for £620 - meanwhile a copy of PB's auction I'm told was sitting at £800...two hundred quid difference. Must be nice to be so rich that money is no object.
  3. Right well from what I can make out, the 68 one is pressed/distributed by Island - same type face as Studio One, Coxsone. The 69 one is pressed/distributed by Trojan. But the point is - is any of this stuff relevant - I'd rather have my teeth pulled than listen to that lot!
  4. I'm one of them.
  5. and many rich and unknowledgable customers...there are enough honest and trustworthy dealers to buy from NOT to have to pay double what a record is actually worth in an auction.
  6. What amazes me is how the same record can be auctioned on both sites (Darrow Fletcher - London demo)
  7. You can post about 8 records for £3.50!
  8. Only 3/4 years ago it was still £75
  9. Anyone who is concerned about this - go to the bottom of the listing, you'll see a link to 'report item', follow the instructions then click on email and it sends ebay a report that it is a bootleg record.
  10. Yeah thats a Trojan label alright - B(eat) & C(ommercial) were Trojan's owners. That is some find I reckon!
  11. Yeah thats what I thought mate, just had one enquiry so if thats down to you, I thank you
  12. That one and especially the Tower one sound just like Smokey Robinson don't they. Nice.
  13. Isn't this what you mean? Never in a million years would I have thought you would be all for a group of in house musicians singing the music we all love instead of the real thing.
  14. £200 for Vel Vets is about right. I'll sell mine for £297 if anyone wants it.
  15. Have just reduced most of the remaining 45's, please see the original post, thanks
  16. Anyone actually know this let alone want to buy it? DON COVAY & THE GOODTIMERS - SEE ABOUT ME - COLUMBIA 42058. STOCK COPY. EX The writers of Stand By me should have sued as it's a thinly disguised rewrite of that classic but with it's own twist on the theme, it's a 'builder' too, I really like this and Anglo rate it at 75 - JM has it at 40. I'd take 40 for it if anyone's interested.
  17. It's probably a real acetate but the point is, because it's such a common track, it's pretty worthless anyway. Ten quid maybe.
  18. Looks like a Studio One offshoot. The two colour design and the printing.
  19. Excuse me, I'll have you know that me and my band Dougan's Ovation are very popular at the Legion, you can't tell the difference between us and the record on our versions of Goodbye Nothing To Say, Northern Soul Dancer and I'm Shaft.
  20. I think I'd have to disagree here, that's the third Al Wilson I've had in 2 years - not saying it's not rare, it is, I just got lucky - but I've only had one Satisfactions in 5 years before this. So if you asked me go find one, I don't think I could.
  21. Penguins has been reissued hundreds of times, and any common record in poor condition isn't worth anything I'm afraid.
  22. The Mel Williams turned out to be a bootleg so that's withdrawn from sale.
  23. I'd have thought the opposite Steve - people had to buy an issue - demos were just given away. I'd ask the same for both.
  24. I'm off the phone now

ROSE BATISTE - I MISS MY BABY / HIT AND RUN - REVILOT G 40 SOLD OK I don't usually advertise records in this nick but have a read anyway. This record has never been kept in a sleeve. I Miss My Baby has loads of marks and scratches but it actually plays really well. You get some background crackle on the intro but when it all kicks in, it plays great with the odd light pop and click now and again. It's Hit And Run which is the problem. It's got like a bit of the run on shaved off which means there is only one groove to land it on before it plays. Then it has a 3 rotation click. After that, it plays nice and loud, doesn't jump or anything, but you can hear some background noise, which is hardly surprising when you see the state of it. So play grades, I Miss My Baby gets an 8, Hit And Run gets a 6. As ever, I may be over-exaggerating the problems, so if you want a cheap play out copy, this'll probably do for you and of course I can supply full sound clips of both sides. PAYMENT BY CARD, BANK TRANSFER, PAYPAL (4%), CHEQUE, CASH....POSTAGE, ANYTHING OVER £50 NEEDS TO GO BY SPECIAL DELIVERY AT £5, OTHERWISE RECORDED £2. THANKS FOR READING
