  1. Oh it must be true then. p.s. I've seen / held the Daryl Stewart before, that one is well known.
  2. dunno - i never knew it even existed til yesterday
  3. It's a discussion group where people give their opinions on topics and items
  4. So what do we think this test pressing - which is obviously a previously unissued version - is actually worth? Must be a one off? Two off?
  5. Doesn't necessarily need to be stamped - should by styrene, has dj copy top left, not for sale above the number on the right

  7. No way! I say this because that was a late 70's discovery, Pye wouldn't have been interested, it did come out on Soul Supply and they may have used Pye's facilities to cut acetates, hence Pye labels...but no way would they have been going to release a one off Northern single in 1980. In my opinion
  8. Was tipped at one time but it's a cheapie Kev, 15 quid tops
  9. I've got a mint minus Holly St James but I'd want something of equal value to be honest, not 3 or 4 lesser priced things...never had Billy Arnell though
  10. I know the seller, Dave Gilman, I'm amazed he didn't know it. Wish I'd have seen it...
  11. Some great pop records = great northern records, the Joanie Sommers you mention above is in my all time top 5 northern soul records, I just see them as either good records or not good records, regardless of colour of the artist, pop orientation etc. Don't forget, there are some f*cking awful soul records by black people...
  12. It brings back bad memories for me to be honest - when it was first played I thought it was substandard, same time we had Wakefield Sun, Burning Bush, Lou Roberts (everything you wanted to know about love), these were terrible records - a year later Richard bought us some of the very best discoveries of all time but that little period in 78 was truly terrible. Might sound great on a tape but I remember being there and not being impressed.
  13. Harry - it's a terrible version
  14. like Mark said, it's on a Pye acetate only - I've seen it, and a couple of others that never came out - Mick Smith's got them
  15. Spot on again my friend.
  16. I'm sure I copyrighted that saying about 4 years ago But I agree with you.
  17. Top design team created that sleeve I bet
  18. Not really - you can buy one for under 5 grand
  19. I think this may be the same people/person who did the Millie Jackson last year...
  20. I am at a loss as to why he's selling some of these titles - things like Liz Lands Don't Shut Me Out are only worth a tenner on original. He obviously has invested in a cutter and is doing one offs of every track on his CD collection...first lot all from Scepter Wand and so on
  21. This absolutely drives me round the bend, I ignore the first one then if they do it again I remind them that soliciting feedback is against ebay rules and is tantamount to harrassment. I do all feedbacks once a week or once a fortnight, they can wait.
  22. Yes. They are utter c*ntagers.
  23. Like others - I hated it then, I hate it now. This was one of Richard's to start with. Mick Smith told me he played this somewhere the other week (100 club?) and it took the roof off!
  24. What I hate most on the scene is people who say "choons".
