  1. If this refers to my topic about the postage rip off, I did actually apologise and put the matter straight before requesting that the topic be removed. If it's not, please ignore this.
  2. Dammit, this was the thread I meant to post up the Little Anthony version to! IT's now in media I think
  3. Tin hat on mate, we'll now get told we've got no taste, tone deaf, don't appreciate good music etc etc...
  4. I'm afraid I can't see what the fuss is about that Tut Sutton, John Manships raving over it like it was something fantastic, what a drab boring record.
  5. At the moment I use a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water - spray it on, leave it 30 seconds, wipe it round and play while the record is still wet.

  7. It's just a cover by a session singer and I think you'd be safe playing it at home but if you tried to play it out you would end up in the stocks
  8. Yes it is Matt, number is scratched in, then there's an F/W scratched in, then a proper Frankford/Wayne stamp
  9. Is this a joke post Ezzie? It didn't trouble the charts at all, and wasn't even issued in the UK - and it's one of the best girl group northern sound ever!
  10. You're banned!
  11. No, thats the 1977 bootleg
  12. Yes, thats the one I was talking about earlier
  13. I'm thinking you lot are easily pleased, I only listened to it 1 minute ago and I've already forgotten it, it's exactly the same as The Jerk except slightly faster.
  14. No, Shawn Robinson is black with silver lettering, might have a pic somewhere..
  15. Was a short lived bootleg label which released Shawn Robinson (black label) and also (I think) Cindy Scott (light blue label). Of course there was a real Wright Sounds label in the 60's but this is nothing to do with it.
  16. Original release 1972 - first reissue 1977 on Wright Sounds label - then bootlegged on a very good Atlantic lookalike in either late 77 or 78 and a not so great looking red and white demo, not sure when that came out but it is rare. Pay anything from 50 to 80 for an issue, 75 to 125 for a demo. Maybe 8 quid for a Wright Sounds, 10 quid for an Atlantic boot.
  17. Might have been a bit more successful if they'd got someone drumming on it!
  18. This is brilliant. Can't believe how accurate their memories are, they can remember absolutely everything. Absolutely fascinating listening Bob, really enjoyed it. (Except for you saying "ok" about 2000 times, how about 'right' or 'I see' occasionally )
  19. Good record though, especially the verses, the chorus is a bit disappointing but I've heard a lot worsers...
  20. ...I liked the statement "no one ever got arrested for drugs at Wigan"
  21. So if you'd never heard of northern soul are you saying you wouldn't have learned anything from the program?
  22. I did say great quality records, not audio excretia
  23. Would do if I actually wanted The Tempests LP!
