I don't play records very often at home these days but I'm just going through a box of my old, old favourites and I just played "Rat Race" by The Righteous Brothers Band and I can honestly say it made every hair on my arms stand on end for a good 30 seconds, a kind of OH MY GOD THIS IS FANTASTIC! moment, took me right back to late 1974 when I first heard it at our youth club. This is the best one, I won't say who it is to save his blushes but my friend used to tape the Dave Evison show off Radio Stoke, this is circa 1988, and he wrote down the playlists, anyway one of them was "You Really Made It Good" by TIKA IM (Ty Karim)

This was a Wigan sound but St. Ives had it way before Wigan, I remember some of our lot going to St Ives then the next week asking Richard for it at Wigan and he hadn't heard it - took another 3 or 4 weeks to get a copy

I sell it for £6 now, it's been booted so many times that the demand for the London one just disappeared.
