  1. https://cgi.ebay.com/1970-NORTHERN-SOUL-PRO...p3286.m14.l1318
  2. Got a lovely Thomas The Tank Engine train set yesterday complete with a flying 'Harold The Helicopter'. Not sound any records at a boot sale for ages now, apart from the first Aztec Camera single on Postcard the other week.
  3. Mentioned this before but can't find it so, back in 1975, I was 15, I desperately wanted to go to Wigan but I was still at school so there was no chance, anyway I wore a Wigan Casino patch on this one shirt and me and a friend went to a monday night 'disco' at the Bradmore Arms pub. The dj saw me wearing this badge and he said "Have you ever been to Wigan" and I said "No" and he said "well don't ever let me catch you wearing that f*cking badge again" and I almost burst into tears. Because they were a friendly lot round here in those days Micky Perks, t*sser.
  4. You're right Tony, Stick Together did not come out in the UK, only RSG.
  5. Played by Richard at Wigan for a few weeks, I've got a tape with it on from 16/10/77
  6. I like it, had it for years, but surely it's not being auctioned as a soul or northern record is it, it's pure freakbeat/r&b and is obviously pisspoor compared to Jimmy Fraser. I think I've got a video of them doing this actually, might be wrong (not the clip above)
  7. The issue of Barbara McNair on UK Tamla Motown is way, way harder than the demo - but the demo is more collectable and desirable. Daft innit?
  8. "I'm gonna love you" - the version on Jameco is different to the others. Also, there are two versions of Open The Door To Your Heart by Darrell Banks, the second appears on the LP
  9. The two Mel Williams records are different songs altogether though I think
  10. Yeah and the artists get just the same amount when people sell their original record for £500, nothing. Fool.
  11. You can put as many glum looking smileys as you like, makes no difference to me, if I want to cut something onto a record I'll do it, don't know why you even bother commenting - they are not fakes for the consumption of the general public. They are my own copies.
  12. Well report it to the moderators and they will deal with it.
  13. I haven't insulted you once. I said I didn't like the Ruby Andrews record.
  14. Have you actually read the thread?
  15. Why don't you just read the entire thread again and maybe you'll see why you've got people's backs up. All the time you're being belligerent to people like Mak and other long-standing members of the forum then you'll get "abuse" (n.b. you can report any abuse to the moderators and they will investigate and remove it if deemed necessary). You shouldn't take replies such as this as abuse.
  16. That is a really good point which I agree with 100%, it takes a matter of seconds if you're a fast bropwser to scan through 20 entries and it is a pain to have to constantly keep clicking the next button - I also prefer it when you havew the option of 100, 200 titles to scan down
  17. I can only think he missed the search engine - there's not much else you can do to make it any better, it's fine as it is
  18. Like Mike said earlier - 35, young? 15, 16 is young...35 is married with 2 kids territory
  19. Know what you mean Des but it really lacks something without those strings. Must thank Andy Rix for sending me this clip ages ago by the way.
  20. no hat though
  21. I would...if I was asked to
  22. Dooley Silverspoon was known as Little Dooley on Baylor, Koko, Red Ruby etc
  23. It's called Ski Party Dave, features Leslie Gore as well. It's from the people who bought us Bikini Beach
  24. The useless 1964 film Bikini Beach features Donna Loren and more importantly, Little Stevie Wonder
  25. Amazingly, that came out on UK Pama
