  1. Nah, not mine to invest - I'll give it back
  2. At a guess, 1964
  3. Well it looks like I've got nearly £4000 to spend, if anyone wants to sell anything...unless of course I do the sensible thing and return all the monies I borrowed to fund buying this collection
  4. It depends if the buyers got any ethics or not doesn't it really. If I'd known they'd got an arrangement which had been agreed on, I wouldn't have undermined it.
  5. All ok - thanks to everyone for their concern but seems it's ok, just received this I have just this second received a text from Tim, it was a bit garbled but the gist was not to worry and he would be in touch in a bit... Cor blimey you blokes eh!!!! I do worry about Tim though because he has been so unwell what with his recent stroke and the diagnosis of diabetis.... Thank you on his behalf and mine, for your help... its nice to know from Helen, that if something did go wrong in the future there is someone not too far away. Thanks Pete
  6. Great, hang on a bit Helen, someone will be in touch... thanks a million
  7. That's the main thing!
  8. Alright matey modern - sh*t isn't it?
  9. Been told from a concerned friend that Tim ("Toad" on here) hasn't answered his phone or returned a text since yesterday afternoon and that he said he was feeling ill yesterday - he'd recently been in hospital - and was just wondering if anyone had heard from him or lives near him who might be able to check maybe?
  10. £15 on Big T. Harder to sell than a Labour Party membership.
  11. Large amount? they could have fit you all into the back of a mini
  12. No I'm back now
  13. Well at least that's cheered me up
  14. Well I can bring a lot more than that Ian but it's really reggae 45's that I collect, not albums unfortunately - if I bought the albums you mentioned I'm taking a real risk as it's not something I know a lot about. But maybe.
  15. Because he is my butler of course!
  16. Yeah so you keep saying...
  17. Of course, I forgot you are f*cking omnipresent and know what I had for breakfast and at what time of day I take a dump and of course you know about every record I sell and who I sell it and for how much.
  18. What a pointless post. You know exactly why I was buying them, because I make my living from selling records. And I don't have the cash to offer anyone else, I'd only got £1500 of my own money and I'd borrowed £2500 of someone else's money which of course I will now give them back as I haven't used it. How do you know this guy was down on his luck or unable to pay his mortgage? Last time he sold anything it was because he wasn't getting any dj bookings. Yeah, what a way to make a living indeed, worse than f*cking shylock I am..
  19. probably not aware of the thread
  20. Probably - possibly even - but he'll have mentioned my name because he mentioned theirs to me, a week after we'd first agreed on the sale
  21. You're absolutely right of course, no way in the world should this record be even £50. Though quality wise, it's worth thousands.
  22. I'm feeling a right tw*t now for messing up this sale so if you don't get any offers, I'll stick them on my mailing list for you so you can reach a wider audience, or I'll buy the Grapevine lp myself seeing as I haven't got it anymore! Me and my big gob.
  23. I don't like it when people have to resort to name calling just because others have a different opinion that's all. Also I am in the worst mood I've ever been in on here. I think I;d better go light some joss sticks or something.
  24. Swoz I'm alright mate, I@ve got another pc and I've also got a laptop, it's just my main pc thats the problem - I'm actually using it now, got most of it fixed but the sound has died today - not even static coming out of the speakers. I do appreciate the offer though, cheers.
