  2. In that case, I apologise unreservedly.
  3. I think it's on UK Decca. Anything from 50 to 100 quid.
  4. Don't know what blaster envy is but I don't think I have it. All I said was I don't see how a record which does not exist as a record can be a massive northern sound within 7 days of it being posted up on a forum. I am allowed to disagree with you now and then
  5. How can the former be going massive on the northern scene when nobody has got it to play out, you mean "it's had a bit of interest on soul source" you old exagerrator...
  6. Joe 90 (original Barry Gray version) vs Casanova. God what a choice to have to make. I'd go with Joe.
  7. I think if Sam had played that at Wigan when I was going I'd have thrown a shoe at him. Fortunately I packed it in about 8 months before he started there, thank goodness. I think he was sacked for not toning down his playlist which included too much modern. I remember my friend Richard who carried on going after us saying how good his first spot was and how it went downhill after that.
  8. Funnily enough, a few years ago I heard that on a Wigan tape and couldn't remember what it was and it sounded bloody brilliant to be honest. REACTIVATE!
  9. If the Lester Tipton was as common as "A Family" by The Masqueraders on the same label it would never get played. There is no law that says you have to worship This Won't Change. "How" and "I Am Nothing" walk all over it.
  10. New Northern list out Monday, including LINDA GRINER (MOTOWN) GLADYS KNIGHT (MAXX) ART POSEY (SCOPE) CLYDIE KING (PHILIPS) MEL WYNN ( WAND) SPLENDORS (KARATE) TRINI LOPEZ (UNITED MODERN) and loads more. Anyone want a rough advance copy which won't including anything bought over the weekend, just email me. Have a good weekend, see you all on monday Pete pete.smith@freeuk.com 01902 893569
  11. What the f*ck has reggae got to do with the Lester Tipton record, I mean, is that because I like reggae? The Tipton record is badly produced, anyone can hear that, it's too loud.
  12. Never understood the fuss about Lester Tipton, it's a badly produced racket anyway.
  13. Well it wasn't me but what a nice gesture. I'll keep mine then unless anyone else wants it.
  14. I can't understand a f*cking word he's saying
  15. Swoz, I have searched and searched and I've only got my own copy. Still, you can have that if you want
  16. Sorry Trev, I actually say tomartoes, your information is incorrect
  17. Sorry but refosoul not working again and I don';t think I can even post up a small size mp3 at the moment for some reason marvelettes.mp3
  18. Just recorded it to post up, but have to disagree with you, I don't think it's crossover, it's just substandard late 60's Motown.
  19. I've got the UK album, I'll dig it out and post it up for you, from memory, it's not very good though...
  20. Have you ever known anyone do that, ever? I wouldn't. Not on ebay. Though if I had say 30 copies of something I'd sell them cheaper than the going rate but not on ebay, on my list.
  21. Highly recommended, though I@ve already got it on cd twice, what a rip off
  22. Jock, I think it's a case of 'that was then, this is now'. Back in the old days I would travel miles and miles to hear a dj play just that one big record. Now I wouldn't travel to the end of my road. Things like this just aren't important to me anymore.
  23. I know you don't mean that
  24. I had a lot of problems with firefox and audio files, I use the new google browser mainly now
