  1. While I do realise that Glen Miller is not the greatest name for a cover up, a record by the Jamaican singer of that name has been one of the biggest records on the scene for 7 or 8 years now and he sounds like this guy, so...
  2. This is for sale if anyone's interested, it'll be on my list in about an hours time
  3. The UK issue is a different take altogether to the US one. Both good mind.
  4. He doesn't, honestly. He would have liked to be involved I think.
  5. Surprised to hear you say that Ian as there's someone in this forum who had more than a handful of Jimmy Wallace's a few years back. The Jackie Day's came out of the big find and there's been at least 10.
  6. So it's not beyond comprehension that a Lester Tipton could slip out every 6 to 12 months then...
  7. Nosey git. No, don't know who he is, the only one I know is the costume chap, and I only heard from him yesterday cos he wanted to know how to get audio tracks off a dvd I did him onto an ipod, the film was never mentioned.
  8. For the 100th time - Levine has got nothing to do with this film, he's not contributing any music to it, nothing.
  9. If you get chance could you possibly let me know the flip of this and the cat no, is it definitely UK? Haven't got it in any of my discogs. cheers. HEARTACHE HURRY ON BY - JOY MARSHALL - DECCA UK DEMO N/M £100 nb don't worry, found it now
  10. Yeah it's a good tune but it's been booted and repressed so I wouldn't think it's that rare even on original press...I've got one on the black Gayfeet label - paid a fiver
  11. Good to see you following my advice on the Marvin Smith Ian
  12. I got an email yesterday off one of the production team who is a customer of mine, shall I ask him how it's going?
  13. Might help if you told us what it was called
  14. Me not thinking outside the box Ian. Smacked wrists for me. GOOD LUCK WITH IT.
  15. Before anyone starts - it was just a figure of speech. I have no interest in making a record unless it's off my boy singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
  16. I felt I had to as someone had to search through google to get it
  17. Well our friend in Wales must be a millionaire by now, even more new titles coming out by the looks of it
  18. The animals went in two by two... hey didn't he have two of these a year ago? https://cgi.ebay.com/Melvin-Davis-northern-...1742.m153.l1262
  19. I can tell you for definite - first ever spin was march 11th 1978, day after my 18th birthday, and sadly I have it on tape because Minshull played it twice in his set, I think he actually played it as a joke to wind up his mate Lewie.
  20. Paul, firstly, I clicked on the very first website that came up on google, I only did it for 300 because thats all a Northern reissue could expect to sell, if they cost me 2.22 and I sell them at 10.00 then I am laughing all the way to the bank, and as long as I have a hole in my arse, they are not going to sell 1000 copies of Cafe Regios. And of course my imaginary record would be a bootleg so I wouldn't be paying any royalties.
  21. Thanks Bogue and Richard for getting my joke. It comes from being a David Bowie fan, in the song Sweet Thing off Diamond Dogs he uses that expression and I discovered eventually that Les Tricoteurs were the women who used to hang around the guillotine passing their time by knitting and whatever waiting for the executions to happen.
  22. Brilliant, both of them, the intro to BJ Thomas is fantastic
