  1. (I'm still not sure whether I meant it or not )
  2. Neither, just sick of professional Northern Soul whingers.
  3. Manships got it for 25 in his bootleg book and 75 in his last price guide, which just goes to show how ridiculous some of his prices are, I sell that one - if its the blue label one - for 15 quid, regularly. The pink one is worth 3 or 4 grand. Was only asking just in case it was the pink one and you'd made a horrendous cock up
  4. Well done to all concerned with the show, I thought it was great fun, and all of you complaining about it why don't you just turn your f*cking tellys off and shut the f*ck up for Christs sake, all you ever do is whinge whinge whinge about anything that might intrude on your precious Northern Soul scene, well here's a newsflash, you don't OWN it, you're just small cogs in the wheel but you've got the biggest mouths so why not go and start up your own website then you can spend the rest of your lives moaning to each other.
  5. This is a pressing / reissue, right? £60?
  6. The flip side, So THis Is Where I Came In, is also included on that clip and is well worth a listen
  7. Title: derrick harriott - the loser - island / trojan Artist: derrick harriott Track: the loser Label: island / trojan Info: obviously i have posted this up before but it was off my very scratchy island copy, i didn't realised it for a reissue on the brown trojan label as a b side in 1973 so here is a recording off that issue, still not perfect but a lot less scratchy than the first one. this has to be one of the best 3 soulful rocksteady tunes ever made 84460 view soul record info
  8. Good to see that extremely offensive comment was removed quickly
  9. It's also here, complete and fully working HOWEVER you may need to register to join, I did, but I got access to a few hundred video clips https://82.148.208.55/btbg/modules/xoopstub...51&lid=1809
  10. No can't see the connection at all Nij, roots is about Africa and Marcus Garvey whatever, and a dub can be a dub of anything and of course they are mainly instrumental - and they don't have to be 70's, look at the two Treasure Isle dub albums, fantastic. It's like with northern soul, I like 60's but can't stand 70's, same with reggae - it's just the way the music sounds to me
  11. Just some tunes from my favourite Jamaican singer who died last week ">
  12. This has been up before but it was in terrible quality - he's a beautiful version
  13. Greatest-singer-ever. RIP
  14. Sorry to nitpick but it was big in 78 not 76
  15. I love Until You Come Back To Me by Aretha Franklin. Apart from that, I agree with Tony.
  16. Nij, you misenterpreted what I was saying, I meant that AFTER 1970 there's nothing worth listening to with a few small exceptions. I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than listen to any roots reggae. Always loved dub though.
  17. It's Nabay
