  2. It wasn't actually a Kent LP, it was on Horace's, put out by Ady.
  3. Andy - Johhnie Mae Matthews is a female version Audrey is her daughter or niece or something. It came out on a Kent cd and isn't a patch on JMM's version
  4. Got to be worth a minimum of £250.
  5. You'll know as soon as you see it Mark, crappy styrene, large run off, looks 70's!
  6. I'd ask 200 for bobby paris - 175 for the demo - but I'm too cheap anyway
  7. John does seem to have a fair poaint to be honest, he was told it was stamped, but it wasn't!
  8. 1 It's Pete 2 Why mention arin demain when it's got nothing to do with it? 3 What part of 'similarity' don't you understand?
  9. The only thing similar is the title though?
  10. I've done nothing but defend Ian despite coming in for a lot of stick for doing so. I'll await your apology Andy
  11. Sleep I will do tonight, we hired an industrial vacuum cleaner to do the whole house, then washed down the paintwork, put the cot together and so on, I'm shattered and I was only giving out the orders my parents have got Sam and Dee's Dad has got the dog so this is our last ever free weekend night to ourselves, shame I've got 2 matches to watch...
  12. There's two or three different dj copies though, there is a legit white one, there's a red one too. The first boot of the WD is vinyl, the second is styrene, which I think is what you have there.
  13. Looks like the 2nd boot to me I'm afraid
  14. Do you mean Rita & The Tiaras? The long version with the extra verse first appeared on an LP on Horaces label of Dore material in the early 90's, I think they were given it by mistake from the masters.
  15. Well done, bullying girls as well, what next, are you going to elbow Rachel?
  16. he wants to come back on but won't while James keeps posting so it's a stalemate
  17. Try going to a do where there's more than 15 people then. You're not going to hear IL productions and Out On The Floor etc at purist venues. 4 or 5 years ago the biggest record in the country was Standing On Solid Ground, played at big venues like Blackpool and Stoke and absolutely ramming the floor. n.b. James history goes back about 4 years, compared to an awful lot of people on here he is still learning and trying to wipe out what went before he decided he set the boundaries of what now constitutes Northern Soul.
  18. I think a lot gospel records are based around the tune of wade in the water, though I'm far from expert on the subject. I posted a gospel record up in Look At Your Box today, wasn't making any great claims about it, just sounded quite uplifting.
  19. No it was me who said it sounded like a pile of shite
  20. Thats all most of us are interested in! 45's I mean..
  21. Gawd help us...
  22. This came from the States, aprt of a 50 record job lot - only bought the job lot for this...$47 postage!
  23. It wasn't a sales pitch - I was selling it on behalf of someone else anyway - I just think it's tremendous, as is the instrumental version
