  1. Top contribution!
  2. There were coaches going to the Hacienda back as far as 1983, from the Midlands anyway, I was surprised to find some of the old northern soulies went there, but it was mainly for indie music. Plus it was featured on the Tube a couple of times. I think Madonna did her very first ever UK tv appearancefrom the Hacienda, I remember thinking it was just badly mimed rubbish.
  3. This guy is a genius - not only does have a tremendous collection, especially of ska/reggae, some of his artwork is reall high class and imaginitive, scroll down the page if you click the link, I've spent hours on this site https://www.johnnyspencer.info/#Other%20pages:
  4. I'm sure there was a heated debate about this a year or two ago. Actually it was a scrap. Between me and James.
  5. So it had 50,000 members but most of the time there were between 500 and 1000 in there - meanwhile your local Tiffanies would have had 500 people in, multiply that by 100 Tiffanies and you'll see that Wigan was not the biggest dance club in the UK, it was the focus for Northern Soul, meanwhile thousands on thousand of normals were dancing to disco.
  6. Don't know why of late but the discussion on here has mainly been about bloody awful records. Here's another one..
  7. Si I haven't had time to thank you for those records the other day, so thank you - they were great.
  8. I can beat that, they charged me roughly the same for a record valued at 22 dollars! Thats about 14 quid. This morning they charged me 18 quid for one valued at 54 dollars, they seem to just make up the figures.
  9. Are they a football team?
  10. Might have, but I just sold it before I came back on here, sorry
  11. Sounds like he might have died! Or been kidnapped by space aliens. Let's hope it's neither.
