  1. The Treasure Isle stock bags you mention I presume are the same ones that were used for Doctor Bird, Pyramid and Rio (2nd design) Jo? Brown and cream splodges? p.s. you mean Planetone of course
  2. There's no company bags Jo. I've bought unplayed old stock and they're in plain white sleeves. I don't think I've got any of these LP's anymore but there's a shagged copy of the Jackie & Millie sleeve on the wall of Oldies Unlimited in Wolverhampton

  6. I've got Patsy and posted up a scan and sound clip 2 weeks back but got no interest so I gave it to Mr Manship

  8. Silly sod that I am, I'm going to collect red and white Islands again, I still have about a hundred but that leaves a couple of hundred more to get so if you have anything you'd like to offload, please let me know with details of condition and price and I'll take more or less anything that I don't have if priced sensibly. Thanks. p.s. don't need any of the soul/pop/psych titles, just the Jamaican stuff p.p.s. I can buy or swap you for northern or whatever else you want
  9. I was gonna say I can't believe no one bought this but when you see some of the stuff that I've had on here last 4 weeks, all at good prices, but never sold: things like MVP's, Vel Vets, Rita Dacosta WD, Major Lance YDWMNM, Peoples Choice, Willie Kendricks change your ways, Michael & Raymond issue, Marsha Gee, Margaret mandolph etc etc... people are just saving up for Christmas
  10. Yeah I forgot about that, I was down the tip chucking some stuff away and I'd got some designer gear on, can't remember what it was now, shirt/jumper/jeans anyway it was a couple of hundred quids worth of clothes and a bloke using the tip came up to me and said "you do work here don't you" hence Steve S calling me 'the binman' for a while
  11. Yeah but the dressing gown-death row-prison-missing records thread was a beauty, and the one when I broke down on the motorway-sprained my ankle-didn't get my pizza-shrunk my shoes all on the same day was also funny. Very funny. Not at the time though p.s. I shaved all my hair off again at the weekend
  12. True, that was the best thread of all time, but it was about 3 years ago now and the cheese one was this year, I still have the scars from that pesky red leicester
  13. Best topic by far was "Have you ever had any cheese related injuries" by Me.
  14. The first person to play John Bowie at Wigan was Pep, mid 77
  15. I always thought Toast came via Polydor as they also distributed the label Marmalade, I thought they were sister labels.
  16. Sold it on here on monday for the equivalent of about 40 quid
  17. Oh don't start, the whole track is messy, like somene said, listen to the Impressions then listen to this and tell me if it's not messy. I'm not saying thats a bad thing, blimey listen to something like Ton Of Dynamite, the whole things is a mess but it's brilliant.
  18. Agree with you. I do like it, but it's not a favourite of mine and it is very messy probably because of the bad production.
  19. Looks like one I did in MS Publisher!
  20. Cracking Philly dancer from 64-65, Lawn demo, THE LADYBIRDS - HANDSOME BOY EX £125 BOOKS £250 listen to that sax break! small tear on B side label sound file coming PM...
  21. Why are all you housies so rude and aggressive?
  22. No I only replied because you said you thought the general public wouldn't have heard of it, but I think the majority had - I'd never dream of going there but I did know about it.
  23. To the neutral it seems he obviously does know what he's talking about having gained knowledge first hand not second hand...
