  1. I've got another copy of this if any interest, it's in much better condition than the one in the sound clip and it's still covered up.
  2. Here is a chap playing the Gordons Gin Theme ">
  3. If it came with a pic sleeve then thats the one I'm thinking of
  4. No it wasn't, it was an original piece of music, unfortunately the fast part only lasted for about 30 seconds, it was available on an advertising flexidisc. "Cast your mind back many years - at the cinema - the Gordons Gin advert had a great theme tune (The Human League did a version of it on the Travellogue album) - Who wrote it, who played the original and where can I get a copy" It was written by Jeff Wayne...
  5. I'd have said the lower end of that scale. In fact I'd have said £60.
  6. Have to disagree with this. Running In Another Direction and 24 Hours A Day both murder Reaching For The Best. https://www.soul-source.co.uk/rare-northern...ion-island-6280
  7. You're having a larf...
  8. Malc there is also an original on Two Jay as well as on Hot
  9. I thought you were gonna ignore them? Everyone else does.
  10. No, Los Angeles, besides, Pee Wee would have been about one year old when that raven record was recorded
  11. If it's black without the picture of the car on you're ok. I think there is a thread somewhere about how to tell the jimmy radcliffe, it'll all be to do with whats in the run out
  12. I'd put them on ebay if I were you. Theres nothing particularly rare there unless your little anthony is the 1966 black issue, and you'll do well with the Gil Scot Heron on Philips but apart from that not much, the Jimmy Radcliffe is almost certain to be a bootleg
  13. Well it books at £40 so I'm not selling it for 8 quid mate, whether no one wants it or not I am not doing a discount on £10. If it were £100 I would have but I can't stand people who haggle over piffling amounts, try to get free postage etc and I always ask the same question - would they ask John Manship to do them a discount or do free post? No they f*cking wouldn't would they.
  14. No they aren't mate, they are both vinyl not styrene, the first one came out a good 6 months before Pookie Hudson and about 2 years after Ann Dandrea so that info is bollocks basically
  15. Yes it was booted on the black and white 2 Jay label but check the B side, it'll say "Dotl Pickle" instead of "Doodle Pickle". Then they booted it again, same label, but called it "Against My Will"
  16. Well someone sent back a copy I sold them because of this so it must be on all of them, I didn't realise that
  17. Someone just emailed me and asked if he could buy one of my ebay records that didn't sell yesterday but asked if I'd give him a discount if he bought it. It was 10 quid.
  18. Do you mean Suspicion? The greatest of all the Motown unissueds? You need locking up.
  19. Green - royal blue - blue green - orange
  20. Yes loads of those didn't actually come out - Jean Carter, Linda Jones, earl Grant etc
  21. Anyone not voting for option A shouldn't even be on this site as a) they obviously haven't got a clue what constitutes Northern Soul and they are f*cking deaf that should wake you up a bit
  22. I know you're saying that tongue in cheek but I think you have a point and I agree with you, you can make things just too polished and nowadays the popular sound is very retro and sparse and very good in my opinion.
  23. Yeah thats a boot as well
  24. I'm no record producer, God knows I'm not, and I really liked that - except I thought the backing vocals were up to high in the mix. Apart from that - a belter.
