  1. Mark Lamarr won't buy it, he could have had my entire ska collection for 4 grand but wanted to cherry pick
  2. People who pronounce the word moderators as moderatetors
  3. A reliable source has already contradicted that information
  4. If there's one vinyl and one styrene then surely there's been two separate pressing runs...they aren't going to swap materials if they are only making "six" copies
  5. Not that this has a lot of relevance but the UK Tamla Motown 1979 issue is a different take. Strings are almost mixed out.
  6. At the risk of sounding like a stuck record...these are not test pressings, they are finished copies, they would not just press 6 demo copies they would press between 200 and 1000 and they would print labels for all of them. Motown test pressings are white with an advance stamp and hand written titles.
  7. The Frank Wilson's aren't test pressings though, they are finished label demos like any other Soul label releases, there's a box of these out there somewhere, there has to be.
  8. What an original and cutting comment
  9. you are right Ady, I got him mixed up with Jerry Fuller!
  10. Well if you think thats only good enough for a starting offer the Chapter Five must be up to a thousand quid now?
  11. It was a joke....
  12. I'll offer 250 for the Cajun hart...
  13. So the people who've got the single won't know it then?
  14. Never heard of it sorry!
  15. Easily sold it for £80 this morning...so £75-£85 a fair price
  16. They sound black alright on Don't Take...but on their other record they sound white!
  17. Should have gone to Specsavers Andy, I mentioned him in the post above yours
  18. Yeah they just did a black and white copy of the original, which does have ared stripe alongside the black, and the b side is Bet You're Surprised (or Bet YOU Surprised on some)

    Wanted

Dunno what you mean by realistically priced...I sold both those records last month for 350 quid each, I think those were both below 'book' price too
  20. Just the typical lack of interest from people really - a great idea but not supported by the masses, and I know I'm as guilty as anyone for that
  21. No, but just for you, I am going to honestly tell you ALL* of the blue eyed Northern records that I own. Ready? On British: Chapter Five Dennis Dell Lynn Randell Samantha Jones Manchesters Playboys Barry St John Ray Merrell Bruce Scott Susan maughan on USA actually too many to list* Bellboys, Gary Haines, The Babies, Paul Anka, Adams Apples, Capreez, Eddie Regan, Beverly Ann, Embers, Rain, Ron Holden, Ben Zine, David & The Giants, Toni Basil etc etc I love em all
  22. Wow so you were actively collecting in the Sixties? Do you still have any I wonder that you bought when you were 8/9? Wouldn't say it was collecting, it was just buying records. I still have the Marvin & Tammi, The Foundations and a copy of Sufferer by The Kingstonians which the lad over the road gave me when he packed up being a skinhead
