  1. Despite Dave's first hand experience, I'm not convinced about this being a different take, because if you take Charly's stereo mix and put it in one channel, you get a version without backing vocals...
  2. I mentioned this on page 1 - this was booted
  3. This may be stating the obvious but why not make records the please other people more than they please you, compromise the sound and sell more copies! Surely you can't make a living just making records for yourself? Or am I missing the point?
  4. It is rare, I think I've had it maybe twice, no more - just a case of finding the right buyer I think
  5. Yes she won a competition to sing with and put out a record with The Supremes. She can't sing to save her life but it's got a charm about it. Value is more like £100 though.
  6. I honestly don't think anyone whatsoever thought that was your intention. Sorry it didn't work out for you and for the punters.
  7. Well I've never seen it before but then again, I've never looked for it!
  8. I'm sure I have a 45 by this group on UK red Atlantic...must be late 60's early 70's is it worth anything?
  9. People on here will look after you mate, you should know that more than anyone after the way you helped me out when I needed it, whatever it takes...
  10. Do you know Glen Walton, from Bishop? If so tell him to send my Patsy on High Note back
  11. Yes it's where I get my designer hooligan gear from, it was a tip from Steve M (sorry if you didn't join til Feb you won't get that one; I once went to chuck some stuff away at our local tip and I was wearing some nice designer brand clothes and a bloke stopped me and said "excuse me, do you work here?"
  12. You've done some good topics of late mate but this one's been done a couple of times, still a thread running somewhere. p.s. Matalan
  13. John if you want to give your list a bit more exposure I'd be happy to send it out to my mailing list for you (no comission! ) cheers pete
  14. Rob if you are wondering what we're talking about, I made an identical post to yours 3 or 4 days ago then yesterday I said that nobody ever reads my posts
  15. Malc, a bit harsh to put this under John's reply and not James' because it looks like you're addressing John when he hasn't, as far as I know, said anything detrimental to or about Ian.
  16. You see what I mean Pauline?
  17. I love that record, bought it when it came out, it was actually a radical reworking of a song they put out a couple of years earlier.
  18. One of the least soulful is Patrick Bradley - Just one ore chance, followed by The Dogs - Soul step.
  19. That means nothing, he didn't know Edward Hamilton had even been booted on a coloured label trust me, I get enough of these things to know what's common or not. You can't give the melvin davis pressing away. There's Malibus on ebay every week, Len Jewells too with people trying to pass them off as originals. Damon Fox is common. Most of them are really.
  20. Marc these might be rare in Germany but they are very very common here, honestly.
  21. Dana Valery isn't rare, they must have sold 5000 pressings of that and 10,000 of the Poppies
  22. I mentioned all 3 versions of Little Ritchie on page 1. Nobody ever reads my posts
  23. John & The Weirdest is now quite rare but the Del Larks isn't, well it is compared to say Johnny Caswell but not that rare.
  24. Most were on red vinyl
