  3. St. Ives had this ages before Wigan, remember asking Richard if he'd got it and he said he was waiting on a copy but would definitely play it (at Wigan) when he got it. I nearly had a bid on that stocker on eBay last night, only had one.
  4. Thanks Aaron, honesty sometimes gets me into trouble though but how could I ever 'pretend' to like a record?
  5. Anyone? Listing it for sale tomorrow.
  6. Always reminds me of bad times at Wigan - sorry, I can't stand it either
  7. He wasn't calling you Daz, just the bloke who gave the quote to the book

  11. Yeah it did Grant, hard to find as well, I think that's my first one to be honest. Not that I'll keep it.
  12. Steve, it did originally start with Jackie Burns but between that and The Vines I was actually using a mic, but it came out silent, so in the end I just cut it and started with The Vines!
  13. Nobody hardly ever makes negative comments about John, they make them about the dunderheads who pay double the price for some of the records that he auctions when with 5 minutes work they could find them cheaper
  14. £50 / £60 at a very big push maybe

  17. NORTHERN SOUL - MAINLY MIDTEMPO This one starts off with a few early 60’s sounds in the main, then some well known Midtempo and Beat Ballads, some top Northern dancers, a small British section then back to the top class Northern again, before ending with more awesome Beat Ballads — something for everybody there I hope, all mixed live from vinyl. 18. You're right, that one does take some beating but there's this more recent one, a solo girl record which they all rave over, when I first heard it I thought it was a joke record, I'm trying to remember what it is...
  19. Don't have to explain to me Joe, I don't care either way, and you've explained before.
  20. No I know what you mean. But it's just usually to see how hopelessly out of touch rich some people are
  21. Cos we don't know how to look on his website, let's give him publicity on here instead
  22. It was on an acetate that came up for sale on eBay about 7 years ago, I recorded the whole clip before the guy took it down, but left it on one of my old pc's...
  23. This was a 4 week wonder really, was there every time it was played, it was played twice on the first night, second time it packed the floor, then Keith Minshull played it the next few weeks but stopped not long after. From what I remember, Keith was the only dj to play it.
  24. Never had one of those.
  25. I've never seen one of these with a solid centre Harry, or a push out centre, not saying there aren't any but most of the labels pressed by the Mercury/Philips/Polydor group which this was a part of started using jukebox centres for everything around that time
