  1. Was just about to say that myself. I've had a couple of those, always struggled to sell it even at 30 quid.
  2. THE GRAND PRIXS - ROAR OF THE CROWD / LOST LOVE - TINA 1014. VISUALLY THIS IS VG TO VG+ BUT IT PLAYS EX, PERFECT SOUND. BIT OF LABEL WEAR SEE PIC. BOOKS AT £450. ASKING £200 FOR THIS COPY. FREE POSTAGE. PM IF INTERESTED, CHEERS
  3. Second one must be an RCA press from late 70-'s
  4. Cheers. I did take the £20 for it.
  5. Yes just realise that was what they were on about. F*cking terrible record
  6. Thank you! Will stick a price on it now :-)
  7. What sound file Ted?
  8. OK you lot have lost me now, is someone else selling the record and they've put a clip up or something?
  9. Trouble is when it comes to these sort of records you might as well be asking me about classical music, I have no knowledge and have to rely on books. Manship had the bill brandon at 15, it's a good uptempo dancer. The devons I've had loads of times and I never considered it rare so I thought that price was about right. The Charles Jackson wasn't listed anywhere but another of his was, so I just went by that really. I sold the devons, I haven't sold the bill brandon and if the REAL price isn't too far away on the charles jackson, I'll sell it to the first person who asked for what I listed it for, however if it's like over 50 quid then I might not
  10. CHARLES JACKSON - I'M GONNA GET YOUR LOVE - CAPITOL anyone know - I'd never heard of it so I stuck 20 quid on it - yet I've now had 5 people ask for it which makes me a bit suspicious that I may have got the price wrong!

  12. I've had 2 copies of Wess Oliver off Ebay in 7 years - both of them never made it to my list because they both arrived broken, in fact one of them had a piece missing that wasn't even in the package!
  13. It did come out on Duke Jerry, 69 or 70.
  14. I don't think he did have an LP on Trojan. Theres a compilation on Island called Doctor Kitch with obviously the title track plus a Wailers track to make it interesting
  15. Still not set up to do them yet Ted sorry. It's in JM's book at £300 but there's no sign of it on his website so no sound clips there either. I'll see if I can get something wired up!
  16. I've absolutely no idea mate, just arrived in a bunch of records from a mate in the States, it's nearly all crossover and modern, as you know I haven't a clue with this sort of stuff. There's another copy of that fantastic Cathy Davis record on Taurus though.
  17. Looks like the last (or only one I could find) of these sold for $661 last year. This is an EX+ copy. Any offers please or equal trades. CINDY & THE PLAYMATES - DON'T STOP THIS TRAIN / A PORTRAIT OF GOD'S LOVE - KEMP description below from last ebay sale Cindy & The Playmates - Don't Stop This Train / A Portrait Of God's Love Kemp 50 / J.P. 129 CONDITION: EX+ to M- Beautiful copy of this super-rare (and so far lesser-known) Chicago two-sider from the ladies who brought us "Now That School is Through". "Train" side may have a bit of funk appeal, and the flip is just fantastic....I have only ever seen one copy for sale before this....
  18. Sorry you're right about Deram, I should bloomin know, took me long enough to get the first Bowie Deram single. OK this is all getting a bit irrelevant but if you look at the label listing there's nothing vaguely psych-tinged until you get to The Syn DM 130 which must surely be 67 and even then it's another 6 months or so before it really gets going.
  19. You have to be kidding. Deram was set up more or less as a result of Sgt Pepper and Decca wanting a more progressive/innovative offshoot and the Beatles had been experimenting in the studio for a good 2 years before Deram was formed in 1967. They are the originators, everyone else was hanging on to their coat tails
  20. Definitely 2 Junior McCants, one sold on ebay a few months back
  21. Well the figures in the poll tell us that yes, records sold on this site ARE overpriced, which is what I thought in the first place. Good to see some people admitting they are mugs who pay over the top prices Time to close the topic then I think?
  22. The Beatles bit was great, shame about the backing track, pleasant though. She's Leaving Home is one of the greatest records ever made and greatest songs ever written and greatest melodies as well. The Beatles are the greatest band ever to walk the earth.
  23. Talking of Blue Cat - I managed to get a copy of Lynn Tait - Way Of Life this afternoon to replace the one I very reluctantly sold last year. £69 with centre intact, I got £125 for my no centre one I think.
  24. Pete S replied to Mak's topic in All About the SOUL
The only reason customs would be holding a packet for you is if they want you to pay some excess charges on it, that sometimes adds a week on to the delivery time, but even now after 28 days, there's still time for it to arrive.
