What about that Nicole Willis "If this ain;t love", obviously aimed at the dancefloor but fabulous in evey way, I thought it was a pure 60's track when I first heard it. Even the big pop names doing retro, most notably Amy Winehouse, Charlene Spiteri, Tom Jones - I liked all of those as well. I do like this stuff. I just don't like people being insulted because THEY don't, it's soulophobia!

There's not a chance in a million that this record is worth any more than £30 in the real world,everybody had it in quantity, there must be 5000 copies in the Uk alone. People are like sheep, they can't think for themselves, look at Magicians, Johnny Howard, The Flairs...nothing oldies until Butch plays them then all of a sudden they're top dollar rarities.

I've got nothing against Kings Go Forth or retro-sounding records on the whole, I like them, but I hate the name calling aimed at people who aren't interested (dinosaurs, relics) so why do it? It just makes you look as if you're trying to come across as being superior to everyone else (see Paul S's comments for more of the same).

I agree. A bit like the flash guy who can afford to pay 3 grand for a 500 quid record, anyone paying 500 quid for a badge should be locked up. And how can the 3rd anniversary badge be worth anything, everyone who went got one and there were at least 1500 in.

People just don't like making offers, simple as that I think, not without a minimum bid stated anyway. For whatever reason; not clued up enough to know the value, don't want to bid more than the seller might have accepted and so on. And a lot of people on soul source are notoriously tight (unless they are selling), always asking for discounts, free postage etc.

Right I'm going to add a bit of fuel to this fire, we know the off white ones are reissues and think the pale blue ones are real, but they aren't, they are also reissues despite what any book says or doesn't. The real original stock copy is ba slightly darker blue and the lettering is a really deep dark blue.

I used to do that but I send out a lot of records so in the end I started buying pre-cut cardboard, what a life saver that is.

Absolutely no way, you don't live near a post office, tough, that's not your customers fault so why should they have to pay? I do 30 miles a week travelling to and from my post office, I wouldn't dream of asking my customers to pay for me to do so.
