  1. I know, this section should be self regulating but people take the piss constantly and moderation has just gone out the window.
  2. Bump for these, one bump in 3 days, shame not everyone is able to follow this sort of etiquette isn't it?
  3. She found out easy enough, I let her use my paypal account to buy a dress which she'll never fit into and she said "what's this gift of over £825 for?". DOH!
  4. Not mentioned because it's rubbish. Thread about that version elsewhere after some lunatic paid £70 for it.
  5. Thats where the one I bought came from originally - Rob Marriot tape
  6. It's quite nice, I only know it because I mended Carl's copy which was sticking, it's crossover, pleasant but hardly earth shattering. Think it's worth 300/400 quid?
  7. I can't remember who I sold that to, it was a great recording, I know I did about half a dozen acetates off it, wish I'd kept one. Think this is the best of all Butch's old cover ups.
  8. Have emailed you George. Hope my missus didn't see.
  9. This is akin to when you suggested House Of Pain "Jump Around" should be played
  10. Me too - I love that stuff. But at the end of the day, I can't afford to keep them, and yeah I make a loss on this one of about 20 quid but on the other hand, I'll sell something for 50 which I only paid 20 for. Certain people get annoyed with me for reducing records saying I shouldn't do it but it's alright for rich people with millions of records in stock, I have to buy what I think I can sell, and if it doesn't, I've no income, so thats why I reduce them. Swings and roundabouts; I paid £15 for a rubbish owen gray record on blue coxsone last year, sold it for 500!

  12. I bought a UK one last week off the net for £35. It's worth £50.
  13. Oh and the reissue is from 1976.
  14. Theres an even easier way of telling that that - on the reissue it says SIDE A on the left hand side. Why this reissue sells for above £10 is beyond me. The original is super-rare, in fact I've only ever seen one, I bought it off here last year for £80. Had 2 demos I think.
  15. I've still got it as well! Beautiful stock copy. £50. Not a nibble on it...maybe I should have stuck it up at 100!
  16. Sandy Hadley was a Searling spin at Wigan! It was on the first tape I ever recorded there.

  18. It's a really weird press that, the vinyl is very thin, like a thick flexi-disc!
  19. I dunno why Ken put that ska record in, if we start that we'll be here all day! I thought it was just rare/nice/unusual UK Northern, but to be honest, I just like looking at pictures of records anyway.
  20. Yeah but the point I'm making is - have you heard it since?
  21. Me too but there's some real borderline cases for inclusion there, Laura Nyro "Eli's Coming"? I've got a demo of that Circus record but it's nowhere near my Northern stuff
  22. You lot make me laugh, if this was on a British label you'd be slagging it off as a white stomper!
  23. Refosoul not working, hang on a bit
  24. Just wonder if a record ever disappeared off the radar quicker than this one below; was quite a big sound for a few weeks then it vanished and I can honestly say I haven't heard it from mid 1975 until tonight when I found it in a box, I never even knew I had it.
  25. You think that's bad? How about this - a pressing (described as such) but the B side doesn't even play! As I write this, £117! https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-NORTHERN-EDDIE-PARKER-IM-GONE-AWAKE-LISTEN_W0QQitemZ220579228071QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Records?hash=item335b8be9a7
