  5. Northern Soul doesn't have to be Soul Music Dave, you know that. There are hundreds of superb non-soul Northern records.
  6. Okay I know who this is now, it's The Cymabline on Pye from 65 or 66 so not an unissued track. Dave K can you message me again cos I don;'t know what records you're referring to above.
  7. Isn't one of the above a scumbag paedophile child molestor now living in the Far East?
  8. For a few weeks there were several "Mecca" types, I remember the girls wearing dresses made out of bin liners and the lads wore big baggy sweaters and drainpipe jeans. They stood at the bootom left of the room if you were looking towards the stage.
  9. Not for definite but it could have been keith Minshull because he was playing things like Miroslav Vitous - New York City for a short time
  10. Cathedrals was played at Wigan, so was Salsoul 2001 or whatever it was called
  11. Yes mate thanks, posted today..
  12. THE CONTENDERS - (YOU GOTTA) DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO - EDGE. NICE WIGAN OLDIE. ORIGINAL STAMPED STYRENE PRESS IN NEAR MINT NICK. £30 POST FREE.
  13. Yes he does, Richard Searling's old copy, bought via John Anderson
  14. Anyone else think this is an overrated mess of a record? Terrible muddy production, no tune, great sax break but does nothing for me, never did.
  15. I sell loads of records for people on commission and it always starts that they're sad to see them go, as soon as they get the first thousand quid or whatever, they soon forget about the records and enjoy having the money! I was the same when I sold my British collection to enable me to set up as a business, it really hurt for a week or so, after that, I only thought about them as a commodity. I'm sitting on ten grands worth of UK records at the moment and honestly, I'd prefer the money to the records. I have a box of 200 records, assorted pressings, bootlegs, reissues, these are my 'own' records, all my old favourites, don't care what labels they're on - these are the ones I'd never sell.
  16. This is no rarer than any other 70's pressing and why people choose to spend so much money on it always baffles me, I was asking £20 for it only a year ago BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE TO RIP PEOPLE OFF, the last one I had was someone else's and they asled me to ebay it, I think it sold for £40. Way too much. F*cking brilliant record though.
  17. I've got loads of Mike Raven shows on reel to reel tape. I did put up an excerpt on here about 4 years ago. Sadly nearly all the dj bits have been cut out to leave just the music. What I do have though is a book in which Colin, the chap who made the tapes, wrote down every track that was played on the show for about a year. If I can find it I'll scan some of it if any interest.
  18. So why is the run off on the b side different in size on the recent copies to that on the original copies? A mystery!
  19. I agree - til all the instruments come in, certainly takes it up a few notches
  20. The girl one is probably that one on US Audio Fidelity, sorry can't remember the girls name but I know I sold it for a ton on here not so long back, fabulous version. Rob there is a sound clip on my ebay link but still if that don't work...sorry I've had to cut it at the beginning and end 03 comin home baby.mp3
  21. Cheers Simon but that's too early for it to be this.
  22. Craig Moerer is a great guy and a top seller, his integrity is faultless in my opinion, however he should know the score with this Buster & Eddie record with all his experience and be honest about it, and if he didn't know because one of his employees was dealing with it, he should really be around to check their work.
