  1. Be off with you, I'm still feeling sick after that horrendous elephant man link you sent me, that was REAL not fake!
  2. Yeah it does, and I'll tell you why, and it's something that bugs me more than anything on here. Person psosts a list of say 10 records. After a while, he sells one, so instead of editing his original post and putting SOLD next to it, he makes a fresh post saying 'so and so record is sold', like it's a f*cking important announcement that we should all know about. This happens every time he sells a record, and consequently every time he sells a record, he goes back to the top. This should be moderated and stopped.
  3. Your sales only stay at the top of the pile until the next sales advert goes up, that's always been a problem. Sometimes it can be an hour or two, sometimes it can be one minute.
  4. you are so right - there are some very ambitious sellers on here sometimes
  5. Any last knockings on this - 490 current price
  6. No I agree - fantastic track
  7. Mark are you sure this is a Detroit track, I always thought it was from Texas for some reason!
  8. So it's a totally different record altogether then, right? Cos the one I had was definitely a child singing. Inez Foxx would have been in her 20's at least when it was recorded. (my one, I mean) (or a demo intended FOR Inez Foxx maybe?)
  9. Wonder why it's credited to Inez Foxx, it sounds nothing like her (if it's the same singer)

  11. No, never. I lioke that Marcia Aitken record as well, was playing it in the car yesterday actually, the extended one where it goes into 3 Piece Suit.
  12. Sorry, didn't realise you were in charge of what we are allowed to say, I'll ask your permission next time
  13. It's the same as with soul - after the original reggae in 1968, that lasted for about 2 years then it started to slow down, then rasta and roots elements came into it and it became dull as far as I was concerened. The only things I can listen to from the 70's are dj's and dub. Because the sound changed so much from the 60's, it meant nothing to me, and thats how it is with soul, or rather, Northern Soul. Come the digital age, the music had moved so far away from it's original roots that I don't even class it as reggae.
  14. Yeah but I don't like any reggae after 1970 you should have guessed that!
  15. No there's not. Go back to bed.
  16. Do you mean me, if so, why? I'm not even involved in the thread!
  17. You tell 'em Kev! Nice to see someone speak their mind.
  18. Have already mentioned this in the topic 'worst of the worst'. I described it as music that makes you want to kill yourself. It's about as appealling as a night in spent watching Go Compare adverts.
  19. Yes but they officially pressed every Columbia/Epic biggie (Poppies, Edwards, Randell, French Fries, Blackwell, Valery, Vibrations etc) but missed this one for some reason - like you say, probably too common.
  20. This one will end tomorrow night, 9pm, cheers
  21. Me too!
  22. Not only that but when you hear certain records, you automatically think you know whats going to follow them because thats how it was on your old tape! Like every time I hear Lockes Theme I think of Total Eclipse "6 o clock" starting right away. Also if you've got a tape of a record and it jumps, when you hear it you get used to that jump and come to expect it; I had a copy of Why Can't We be Lovers by Holland & Dozier in 1972 and it always jumped in the same place and when I got it on cd it just wasn't the same without the jump
  23. I was also going to add that The Steinways is a cats record and I think was due to be booted on Out Of The Past
