  1. https://podcastmachine.com/podcasts/4425/episodes/30926 THE LAST NIGHT AT WIGAN CASINO - END OF AN ERA - 19th SEPTEMBER 1981 ***** Well this is the last live allnighter tape I'm going to put up for a while but believe me this is a listening experience that you'll never forget. Totally different to the fantastic quality tape I put up of the 7th Anniversary, this one is notable for picking up every last bit of the incredible atmosphere of that final allnighter (of course, they opened the doors again for another 'last' allnighter a month later, but this is the real thing). I hadn't listened to this tape for over a decade and I'm not ashamed to say that it reduced me to tears, hearing I'm On My Way for the very last time. I did go to this allnighter but it's not my recording. Anyway, please don't expect crystal clear quality, but do expect to be put through an emotional wringer. ***** Features DJ's Brian Rae, Dave Evison and Russ Winstanley.

  3. No Kev it's the first one from 77. I never know with this one, only selling it as a pressing because the run off is pitted and I always think that is suspicious.
  4. I couldn't swear it in my own blood, but as far as I know, that's right. If you remember it was muggins here who gave them the track in the first place though I didn't know I wasn't meant to share it - ayway I got 3 or 4 copies of the finished record in return but not a test pressing.
  5. Benji I have 2 or 3 tapes taken from the mixing desk at Wigan, or rather plugged into the decks, the quality is 10 out of 10 but apart from the dj intros, we might as well be listening to the records at home, thats why I've never put them up anywhere. I like to hear the clapping!

  7. You know at the top left of the screen where it says 'logged in as' if you click that you'll get a drop down menu and one of those says profile, you should be able to click that and see comments that have been left about you. As for seeing other people's, presume you just click on their username?
  8. I used to be able to do it, I can still do it sometimes but my eyes are so bad now that it's really difficult to see what I'm doing. If you've got good eyesight, all you need is a scalpel.
  9. I think if you click your PROFILE it is stored on there?
  10. Have sold it now so am closing the topic
  11. Thanks for the concern Dave but I've no problem with Keith doing that because I'd already marked the records as sold. If anyone had done it BEFORE they were sold I'd have just removed the post and advised them that they were out of order. Plus it's people like Keith and a handful of others who keep me in business so if I can help them in return, I'm happy to.
  12. Sure is. Got suspicious when Mick Smith wanted to swap his demo for the issue
  13. Not sure about this one, presumably a very rare stock copy: ALFIE DAVISON - LOVE IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS / KNOCK ON ANY DOOR - MERCURY. Books at £200 but has sold for £300 on Ebay. Not likely to get this again so wanted to not rip people off, just get what it's actually worth.
  14. The original looks absolutely nothing like the boot. The reissue is on the Columbia Special Products label.
  15. Nige is correct, there are two different colour label boots on Pussycat, a legal reissue on Columbia Special Products
  16. For a proper mailer with two good bits of 12" card either side, you're looking at about 2.75 by first class standard rate. Obviously if you put thicker, heavier card in it'll be more, but if you charge £3.25 recorded you should be ok.
  17. Well if you aren't Martyn Smith from Kingswinford it's not you
  18. ...and then the alarm goes off and you wake up...
  19. Did I? Ah but how long ago was that? 2 years? 3 years? Because amazingly, they became rare over the last 12 months, before that they were common....
  20. Wow I don't know if that was a subconscious choice of words, but your copy came from Paul Walker who was known to everyone as Crispie. I'd just bought the bulk of his collection off him. Sadly he died three or four years ago, he was only 44. Just reminded me of him.
  21. Yes. He was in an early incarnation of the band Supertramp. He lives in somewhere like Great Yarmouth and worked as a salesman (I think it was a salesman) Reason I know this is because he bought his own record off Mick about 18 months ago but I didn't write down the info. I sold my demo last year, I think I also sold Martin the copy he sold. What a record.

  24. https://podcastmachine.com/podcasts/4425/episodes/30748 I keep getting asked to put more live tapes up so here's an absolute belter from the Casino's 7th anniversary on 25th September 1980. This tape is in fantastic quality but it also allows you to hear the atmosphere which is the whole point of these live recordings. The quality dips as it nears the end but please enjoy a tremendous Richard Searling spot, a Keith Minshull oldies spot and a short excerpt from Gary Rushbrooke's spot.
