  1. There sould be a really good UK labels list coming next week (Garnet Mimms DJ, Linda lewis, John Lee's Groundhogs, Samantha Jones DJ etc), meanwhile here's a handful of US originals which I didn't get round to listing this week. Any interest please ring 01902 326306 or email pete.smith@freeuk.com THE VALENTINES - BREAKAWAY - SOUND STAGE 7 STOCK COPY SOLD Mint minus 100 Beautiful West Coast styrene issue, doesn't jump like a lot of the East Coast copies do and is in truly beautiful shape MILTON WRIGHT - THE GALLOP - CARLA ISSUE Mint unplayed 80 I doubt there is a better copy of this in the world. Never played since the day it was manufactured, obviously still in company sleeve and totally pristine. CLYDIE KING - IF YOU WERE A MAN - IMPERIAL DEMO MINT 75 Stunning midtempo sound in beautiful condition JIMMY & VELLA CAMERON - LOVIN' YOU IS SUCH A GROOVE - REPRISE DEMO EX 60 Classic 'nearly made it' Wigan dancer, light label wear PATRICE HOLLOWAY - STOLEN HOURS - CAPITOL SOLDVG 65 Looks used, has various clicks mainly on the intro, you'd be ok with this for djing as it plays nice and loud and it's less than half price SPOONERS CROWD - TWO IN THE MORNING - CADET VG++ 50 Bit of wear to label and vinyl but plays superbly, trust me THE IKETTES - WHATCHA GONNA DO - PHI DAN SOLD EX 40 Brilliant dancer ROY NELSON - ELEVATOR MAN - VALISE VG++ 30 Rare on this label, cracking dancer, thought this was going to go massive at the end of the 80's but never did for some reason THAT'LL DO THEN CHEERS Pete Postage 5.50 special delivery PLEASE FOR THE 100TH TIME - NO F*CKING OFFERS OR REQUESTS FOR FREE POST
  2. I haven't got the concentration span to listen to one side of an LP Jock, I'm serious, I only use music as something in the background to listen to when I'm on the computer and my boredom threshold gets lower every day. I can only listen to various artists compilations as they offer something different with each track, I can still just about listen to most David Bowie albums up to 1978 but I'd be lying to you if I said I could listen to a whole Bobby Womack album.
  3. Thank you! It was just given to me by someone to sell so just needed a starting point really. I doubt if I've ever heard more than 5 tracks by Bobby Womack myself.
  4. "If you knew"
  5. I'm not 'lucky' Kev, the seller understood the problem and cancelled the transaction. Nobody gets kicked off Ebay for a first offence of non-paying.
  6. No it was that crappy Ebony Keyes on Pye. The nice seller let me off buying it.
  7. I won a record tonight, I put on a snipe of £32 - well I thought I did, I accidentally put it at £132 and of course I won it. I was only going to sell it for £45. Bit like that time I meant to bid $80 but managed to put $800. Where's that wanker smiley gone.
  8. There's this spaghetti western inspired reggae tune by The Concords called Return Of The Pollock, it's supposed to be Return Of The Polak but they obviously couldn't spell it, I have yet to see a copy which hasn't been changed to return Of The Bollock childish but always makes me laugh
  9. F*ck me I just wanted to see pictures of shitty record labels not get your life story
  10. I've found a winner, has to be this one https://cgi.ebay.com/SYLVIA-SHEMWELL-Funny-We-Can-Do-HE-LL-COME-BACK-/320597899181?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item4aa51fb7ad
  11. I listed that EP last week for £20 and could honestly have sold 7 or 8 copies.
  12. Well 36 was what I've had - probably only 20 now as I sold anything on a UK label like Night Time and Little Girl.
  13. Anyone know how much I should try and sell this for: BOBBY WOMACK THE COLLECTION: 12 LP set running from 1968's Fly Me To The Moon to 1976's Home Is Where The Heart Is. Comes in a box, obviously, with a nice booklet featuring the original artwork for the albums. https://www.discogs.com/Bobby-Womack-The-Collection/release/940205
  14. Well that was the only one I've ever seen, I suppose if it's got the right number stamped on you'll be ok
  15. Remember that thread about the most scuiffy, ugly records for sale on ebay? Look at the state of this one, looks as if you could catch something off it https://cgi.ebay.com/Northern-Soul-45-Eddie-Curtis-Edbern-692-/370439324391?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item563fe782e7
  16. GENE WOODBURY - EVER AGAIN / THAT'S NOT HALF BAD - DEL-VAL DV 1005. SOLD Excellent condition, really nice copy. £300 free special delivery postage. PM or email pete.smith@freeuk.com 01902 326306
  17. Thanks Grant but pretty pointless directing me to Popsike, there may be a $500 copy but there's also an $86 copy
  18. Not exactly, but you can have 5 Spiele for 1, DM it's German..
  19. Never been booted but I reckon all of those prices are way too high, £250 maximum on any version.
  20. They did, but I think I've only had one, it was an early Buster tune something Spider & The Fly, but it had a different B side to the released version
  21. Kinnell I didn't say it was the last hour, RUSS's spot is from the last hour, Brian Rae & Dave Evisons were from before that but I think Dave Evison was on just before Russ
  22. Not quite what you're looking for but this is the only corner of my room I'd be happy to show as the rest is a tip, in this tiny room I have: a jukebox a 40" tv a surround sound system including 6 speakers a pc an apple mac 8 dj boxes full of records 3 large bookshelves full of records and cd's a deck, an amp, a tape to tape, and a deck with a built in cd recorder an office chair and an easy chair for when I watch football meanwhile I have a shed with a dozen more dj boxes full of non soul and reggae records which I can't fit into my record room because I have so much electrical crap in here.
