  3. By the way there is a previous thread on this same topic with loads of brilliant scans, if anyone can find it
  4. That's right - I traded it for £1000 worth of swaps. Still don't know of another one.
  5. Why would it upset me, I know he had fantastic records - it's just that some of his tailor made records such as the one I highlighted weren't very good!
  6. Yes the used to make standard denim ones and white ones. Sadly the white ones got adopted by the Bay City Rollers and their fans
  7. Dodgy S.Soussan vocal over Bok To Bach https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-Northern-Soul-Tina-Parker-Dance-Love-HEAR-/120629484516?pt=UK_Records&hash=item1c1613dbe4 I'd pay a fiver maybe
  8. Skinners are ultra-collectable and cost a fortune if you can find an original pair.
  9. Just a word about Spencers Bags and Polyveldts. Spencers weren't worn til late 78 and onwards and most of the people who wore them were considered divs. Polyveldts weren't worn until 1979, until then everyone wore Solatios, Brogues or Loafers. The polyveldts started with the girls as they weren't very good for blokes to dance in due to them not having leather soles.
  10. Never mind the strips, I just won this, I thought it was a once in a lifetime chance to find one, I already have a full sized jukebox but this is beautiful.. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320600891226&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:GB:1123
  11. Tony if you're going to be putting loads of clips up can you do hem in batches of 5 or 10 per post as we had several complaints from other sellers the other week when another seller was posting a large amount. Thanks.
  12. This one never turns up, but thought most of you would have missed it as it's in the reggae section https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UK-TROJAN-015-SHIRLEY-KAY-MAKE-ME-YOURS-LISTEN-/120631540851?pt=UK_Records&hash=item1c16333c73
  13. Sorry, not with it today, baby ill, too much stress!
  14. Don't be silly, they are for jukebox owners who want to make their own strips!
  15. I was on IMDB looking at a film called Cherry Tree Lane, this was a British film directed by the guy who did London To Brighton, anyway what I found interesting was that it was released to cinemas in the first week of September, and released on DVD in the last week of September! Talk about a quick turnaround. So they obviously had no hopes of it doing anything more than a weekp or two at the most on it's cinema run. And this made me think even more when someone said that the DVD release for Soulboy wasn't until next year, is that correct?
  16. Just make your own guys - my jukebox looks fine with the ones I found using programs from here: https://www.pinballrebel.com/archive/other/title.htm
  17. We discussed this before and a lot of the younger members couldn't understand when we said that when live acts came on at Wigan, we usually went straight into Mr. M's and missed the act completely. Ther reason for that wasn't because you didn't like the artist, it was to keep 'up'!
  18. Yeah I wondered about that Otis Gayle, despite it being reggae it's still pretty soulful and danceable I reckon.
  19. Cheers - sometimes it's nice to do a bit of a mix of stuff rather than out and out Northern all the time. Might do another of these this week.
  20. No, not on UK.
  21. No it is rare, trust me - 2 years looking and not seen a single copy, none gone through ebay, makes me wonder if it's demo only.
  22. I don't know about that, it took a lot of hard work and research to find out what it actually was. The funny thing is, it's included in hundreds of discographies on the net.
  23. Yeah you're right, only two I've ever had were like vg minus, played well but looked battered. Don't think I got more than 200 for either though.
  24. OK mate I'll keep that in mind
  25. No, that's exactly right, what I meant was, should I confide in a couple of people, or just say nothing - you know what this scene is like for Chinese whispers, you tell one person and in a months time, people are asking you the original question
