  1. What utter rubbish Rob, the only complete set of Black Echoes, I bet there are dozens of complete sets, how can anyone say they've got the only complete set of a publication? And until you can come up with something else, it's still Top Of The Pops, you can see the TOTP set. Oh but of course, if Tim Brown says so, it must be true...
  2. Yes but up until now this record doesn't exist Rod, that's a bit different to the usual fare for sale on here. If people send us messages of concern we have to be seen to be doing something about it. And note I say US and not ME. Don't make it personal. Why people have trouble attaching scans is weird, take a photo, click ATTACH FILE and it does it for you.
  3. The moderators are uncomfortable about the fact that there is no scan of the record being made available by the seller. If it was a £10 record it wouldn't matter, but £400 is a lot of money. Could the seller please put a scan up of the item.
  4. lol anyway no point arguing about it, it either is or it isn't TOTP, I would stake every penny or record I've got of it being TOTP. I'm sure we even had one of the lads actually on there come on here and talk about it.
  5. Used to go on his coach to Wigan - I would recognise him in a line-up, honestly. Also see the comments under that clip, people recognising dancers in the clip without any prompts from here. Besides, it might have been a rehearsal - I've got a TOTP rehearsal of David Bowie doing Heroes, again unbroadcast.
  6. Well he's got changed in that clip!
  7. I couldn't make out the logo but if you look in the background you can clearly see the TOTP set!
  8. I must have been thinking of The Javells
  9. Think I have a Gail Wynters £25
  10. Put loads of 45's on Ebay, 168 plus another 30 going on tonight, mixture of US and British originals, most start at £5, grab yourselves a bargain guys! https://shop.ebay.co.uk/mayfairmenthol/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
  11. Well if I had an issue it'd have been plastered all over here and I'd be asking 600 to 800 quid for it. Never seen or heard of one before, got to be as rare as Vicki Baines issue
  12. Freeze frame it at exactly 23 seconds, that's Jethro in the red and white striped shirt and that is Top Of The Pops.
  13. DUFF THURMOND - NOW THAT YOU LEFT ME (NEW VOICE) EX 50 LOU ROBERTS - YOU FOOLED ME (MGM ISSUE) EX 45 IF ANYONE WANTS THE TWO, £80, MAKE A BIT OF PROFIT! PM, CHEERS
  14. I remember that at the time Ian. Very, very "No Regrets"
  15. I suppose it depends on how old you were at the time - I was 14, it was absolutely mind blowing to see dancing like that, it was the only topic at school the next day. I'd pay good money to see it again in full.
  16. The BBC have more than one archive. I used to have a friend who worked as a production assistant at the BBC in the 80's and he got me some unbelievable David Bowie footage, some of which to this day has never been repeated because "it doesn't exist". The Footsee clip does exist, it was linked to youtube from Soul Source, someone must remember it - it was part of a compilation video and only lasted 10 seconds or so, was in slow motion and you can plainly see jethro, Steve Powell. I would not tell you I'd seen it if I hadn't. n.b. I'm not sure if the BBC have wiped any of the 1974/75 episodes. As you probably know, UK Gold screened 30 or so shows from various years but a couple of years back, old Top Of The Pops episodes started being shown in Germany and these were not the same as the UK Gold repeats. I've got most of them.
  17. I was among those who thought it had been wiped but as far as I know, the BBC still have it, they must do because a definite clip of it has been incorporated into another program and it's on youtube, from what I remember it's a slowed down (slow motion) clip and very short, but I remember commenting that it took me back instantly to that night in 1974 when it was shown.
  18. Sorry I forgot these, can't add to my earlier post as loads have viewed it already and they won't go back to it Updated sales, some reductions, additions etc pete.smith@freeuk.com 01902 326306 Talk about a bizarre record.. MERI MARABINI - TI AMO MI AMO aka RAY OF SUNSHINE b/w I FIORI SUL VISO aka GOT TO GET TO JIM JOHNSON. Italian versions of Samantha Jones and Ila Van respectively but both are really, really good, I mean they have better backing tracks than the original - except of course they are sung in Italian! One of the strangest records I've ever had I think. The label is CAROSELLO. VG++ to EX 30 quid. H.B. BARNUM - IT HURTS TO MUCH TO CRY - AUSTRALIAN RCA DEMO EX+ 100 You may have seen this on Ebay the other week, looks absolutely stunning, like an old UK RCA release complete with centre. Also has it's original sleeve. TOMMY TUCKER - THAT'S HOW MUCH -FESTIVAL EX 50 Brilliant Stafford oldie, this is the rarer East Coast multicoloured issue - it turned up in quantity on the red West Coast issue after 'the find'.
  19. The links are working now
  20. No you're right, maybe the links have expired, I'll re do them..
  21. UNCREDITED ARTIST DO I? EMIDISC ACETATE EX 175 this is a one-off, only known copy of an unreleased version of an old Northern biggie by The Halos entitled Do I. This is almost certainly a music publishers demo and unlike a lot of those, which can be very sparse, this sounds like a finished version and sounds great loud. No artist given on the label, just the name of the publishing company and the title of the other side of the disc, but I'm 99.9% certain of who is singing it after a bit of detective work. Anyway you can have a listen to three quarters of the track here https://www.divshare.com/download/13037585-759 and if you fancy getting yourself an exclusive which nobody else has or will ever have (probably), you could do worse. THE FUGITIVES I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING PATH M 40 DAVID RUFFIN RODE BY THE PLACE (WHERE WE USED TO STAY) MOTOWN EX 30 JAMES PHELPS DONT BE A CRY BABY FONTANA EX 30 Bit of water damage on label PHIL ORSI LOVE IS SLIPPING AWAY SONIC EX+ 70 Really nice late 60s early 70s dancer, books at 200 JAN BRADLEY BEHIND THE CURTAIN NIGHT OWL DEMO M 40 Stunning midtempo one of my all time favourite records. 23. Where did you get the name Wilson & Boggs from? Time was a New York doo wop label I think. Never seen it on this before, but never looked for it either so that might be why.
  24. Cheers, that one I've never heard of let alone heard!
  25. Dave I've seen that orange/white one Mick had off you and it's not UK, it might be Dutch?
