  1. You reckon? Reason I say this, I read several things in the book that I don't recall happening for instance, the description of people sitting at the back of Wigan smoking dope!
  2. Think you'd be better off asking 275 for it to be honest - always been rare buy hard to sell. Anyway, thats what I'd ask...try 300?
  3. It's instrumental on the blue VeeJay issue
  4. You know what, next someone is going to say "I wouldn't buy off you anyway if you can't wait four hours" to which I will reply "I wouldn't sell to you anyway" and then it'll become a free for all so I'm going to close the topic the second that starts happening.
  5. That's just ridiculous Steve, they are obviously not going to buy them from you so why did they reserve them?
  6. It is when you've got others queueing up to buy it, if you want to buy a record you say look I want to buy this, not ask about availability and f*ck off somewhere (without leaving card details), this is my only income don't forget and it's annoying to lose sales in this way. I'm not the only one, trust me.
  7. Just want a bit of courtesy - all he has to do is say he doesn't want it. I've now lost count of the amount of people I've removed from my mailing list for doing this.
  8. Is the label name an anagram? of Alan.....
  9. Now this is what does my head in, and I had someone mention this to me yesterday as well, within 10 minutes of me putting this sales advert up, someone had contacted me and asked if it was still available, to which I replied that it was and I'd reserve it for him, how did he want to pay...meanwhile I had someone else ask for it, I said someone has already asked about it and I presume he's goiing to have it - 4 hours later I am still waiting for the first guy to tell me if he wants it or not. Why bother asking about it if you don't want it? Why do people do this?
  10. https://shop.ebay.co.uk/mayfairmenthol/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1 all finishing around 7 to 8 pm tonight, cheers Pete
  11. That's right, very slightly different ending on the blue reissue, the one in the picture is original, the darker pink or maroon one is a definite boot, the white demo I had was so flimsy it broke in the post en route to Italy - or thats what they told me!
  12. No you're absolutely right, he's just selling bootlegs, but where do they draw the line with someone selling their own collection? I obviously buy and sell Northern Soul 45's for a living so am registered as a business, but when I get really short of cash, I dig into my own reggae collection and let a few items go - that's not business selling surely?
  13. Not defending this guy, have no idea who he is, but if my Mother wanted to sell off her rock & roll collection that she bought in the late 50's, should she have to register as a business?
  14. We're looking at the issue of people having to reveal their real name on sales lists. Only the moderators can see them at the moment.
  15. GLEN MILLER - WHERE IS THE LOVE / FUNKY BROADWAY - DOCTOR BIRD DB 1089. No centre. Condition VG+. You can hear some background crackle at the start, it improves all the while and ends up a good solid play copy, minor pop here and there, but of the three I've had this is the best. Has a little writing on the label (it actually says "no good" LOL) and a bit of label wear. So it's no brand new mint copy but perfectly good for those DJ's amongst you and to be honest, I'd be happy playing this at home as well, don't really want to sell it as I collect this label but need the dosh. Has original Doctor Bird sleeve. £225 including postage. Will possibly trade for decent ska/reggae, UK labels
  16. Basically all you need to do is supply contact details, then list your records and make sure that you state the condition of the items, how you'd like to be paid, cost of postage, whether you will refund customers if they are not happy with the item, and that's about it really.
  17. It's not up to me, he told me the entire story but may well want it to remain between me and him, why not just ask him?

    Help

I used to get loads of acetates cut by Audio Lathe, even now I occasionally find Audio Lathe labels lying around the house, he sent me tons of spares. Last order was probably 2003.
  19. You need to get your facts right before making statements like that Theresa, Kev hasn't been convicted of any copyright theft.
  20. I'm not sure I'm allowed to Dave, you know what the NS grapevine is like, I thought the facts would have leaked out by now
  21. I think the reason is that nobody's come out with the full facts of the case, I knew about this 18 months/2 years ago when Kev told me about it, and like most things, it's not quite how it appears on the surface.
  22. Thanks Greg but it was me who said it might be Frank and Mal that said it wasn't
