  1. But it had nothing to do with the company in the period that we are talking about, try and find out the first mention of Jetstar distribution.
  2. I sold one about 6 months back for 125 or 150 - pretty sure it was listed on Soul Source so should be able to check - never in a million years 300 quid record
  3. These are all play graded Christian, visually there are one or two marks not affecting play - but I'm afraid someone bought it off the website as soon as I posted the list, sorry

  5. I'd advise you to put it on ebay where they pay silly money for it. I sold my last one for £150 (which I think is the right price) but I was very surprised that I couldn't even get £175 for the French EP with the duet version on it.
  6. Derrick Morgan £20, the two others very common, £5 for Ten Commandments and sadly even less for Big Five. The latter must be one of the most repressed records ever, on UK there are at least 6 different pressings, none worth more than the other.
  7. Soul BOwl supplied them all to outlets like Pep's, he sold them for £3 each and we presumed they were represses at the time, in fact I've had people sell me collections with this and John Bowie in and I've had to tell them that they are not pressings and are worth considerably more than the £3 we [aid for them in 77. I bought Mr Searlings copy off him at Wigan incidentally, he must have had a reading problem at the time as on the sleeve he'd written the artist name as The Ringmasters. Of course 2 weeks later, it was everywhere.
  8. That's right T. Weal as in T. Wheel, when I reprinted that in Beatin Rhythm magazine in 1990 and said it was a mock-up, I got a reply from a Mr G. Torch!
  9. Don't know if there are any already out there Mark but you can get an endless stream of scans from ebay.
  10. I think The Poppies "Lullaby of love" is also based around a classical piece?
  11. No I don't think they stopped them, I've got one or two Chess WD's that must be post 66 (Andrea Davis is one), but some of them appear as both WD's and DJ COPY demos I think
  12. really?
  13. I bet I ended up with all of those films!
  14. Terry, I'm afraid the post that you are reading is from March 11th 2010 and I've not got them anymore, sorry
  15. You've probably seen most of it already, this is the third or fourth repeat of the whole lot!
  16. Hit myself over the head with a mallet for buying such rubbish in the first place... (and then probably left them to it - their mistake, not yours)
  17. I can't find it on that page Mike but what a fantastic site!
  18. About 2 years ago I had the original US publishers 10" acetate of Can't Stop Running Away, complete with music score and lyrics. It was the same as the issued take but at least 20 seconds longer. I think I only sold it for about £30, I should have recorded it, I'd have let the Timi website have it.
  19. Dance to it? It was f*cking hard enough having to listen to it let alone dance to it
  20. Not surprising really Shute, it's the same backing track as the Bobby Treetop record that Gene mentioned above
  21. Cos I'm buggered if I've ever seen one before - had two or three of the West Coast styrene ones, but never seen this vinyl press before. Has the same LG stamp that you find on the likes of Moses Smith on Dionn. Wonder if this makes it more expensive
  22. CARSTAIRS - It really hurts me girl - sound like it was recorded in Hell CHANDLERS - Your Love...has a waltz section half way through
  23. He's not a mod type guy is he - lots of soul and reggae at very high prices? Met a guy like that at one fair, he mentioned he sold on Ebay, I asked him user name and he refused to tell me saying it was a secret
  24. GLORIA PARKER - BEST THING FOR YOU BABY - SOUL GALORE some on Soul Fox, all from the MIRWOOD label SHOTGUN & THE DUCK VOCAL & INST YOUR PERSONALITY VOCAL & INST HE'S ALRIGHT WITH ME VOCAL & INST
  25. Also a few more (on Soul galore) BENNY CURTIS - DIRTY HEARTS / INST DONI BURDICK - BARI TRACK / I HAVE FAITH IN YOU FABULOUS JADES - COME ON AND LIVE SOUNDS OF LANE - SERENADE SOUL FOX STRINGS - BLOWING MY MIND TO PIECES / MOUNTAIN TOP THEME there was another SOUL FOX STRINGS which I've only ever seen once SHERRY FOX??
