  1. I know the seller and he can't believe it
  2. No but I only ever look at things from a Northern perspective if people say they are being played 'out'
  3. It's quite nice but don't think I'd play it or want to hear it at a venue
  4. SOLD £75 plus post.. EX couple of wispy marks plays spot on
  5. SALES.. THE DEALERS - YOU GOT IT - BIG BUNNY unplayed mint - slight storage dish i.e. if you place it flat, the label part is raised slightly higher - plays like a mint unplayed record £125 THE HALOS - DO I / JUST KEEP ON LOVING ME - CONGRESS ex plus - original not that scabby bootleg £40 THE SONS OF MOSES - SOUL SYMPHONY - CORAL DEMO Intro EX- rest mint, original demo - you can tell by the fact that the labels are on the correct sides £30 THE BARONS - SINCE YOU'RE GONE - RCA VICTOR DEMO Ex £50 post 2.50 UK
  6. Ah, that was who I sold my copy to, Steve Green, drove to Worcester to meet him to do the exchange
  7. I've got a demo of this Andy. Think I had £75 on it...
  8. Hey might not be selling it at all now. I paid 5K for some records, they were supposed to have been collected yesterday to be delivered today, paid £65 in postage for next day delivery (including insurance) and guess what - not only did they not arrive, but they don't have a f*cking clue where they are. How can this possibly happen, and not only that, why does it have to happen to me?
  9. I don't like it, never had, it was a 3 week wonder back in 1977 (I have it's first ever play on tape which I posted up) and then it just vanished for 25 years...
  10. Well if I sell it for 3 and then someone offers me 4, irrelevant, I always stick to my original price (hence some horrendous cock ups and also hence me asking on here). I just wanted someone to back me up at £300 before it looked like I was overcharging.
  11. Andrea, enjoy this one, it's FANTASTIC
  12. I asked this question on Facebook yesterday about how much I could expect to get for this if I sold it, I got answers ranging from £125 to £400, I was thinking £300 all day to be honest because of demand - what do the panel think?
  13. Does that mean mine was worthless then because there were so many copies?
  14. I think I'm thinking about the same record...it's on the Assault label...got it off ebay circa 2004
  15. Oh come on Mick, you should know by now I speak my mind about things, if it's bad I'll say it's bad, if it's good I'll say it's good, but one thing I won't do is say it's bad just for the sake of it. I don't really like any crossover records so I was obviously not going to like this 'new' one.
  16. Sorry, had to laugh at that because I can't stand those two either, but I also can't stand that Buddy Smith record either so it probably says more about my taste than the actual records. I just never got anything from them, listening wise.
  17. I don't like Do You Love Me Baby or Gentlemen Four much. At least with The Masqueraders you've got half a dozen records to fall back on, How, Thats The Same Thing, actually you only need those two, both utterly perfect Northern Soul records.
  18. Literally 'laughed out loud'
  19. You can't use that old line, I don't have to go out anywhere to hear that it's substandard filler material which would have been laughed out of the place 20 years ago, and of course none of you would play it if it was £20 and on the Stax label anyway. Upfront...step back more like.
  20. Well the answer to what it is is on page one
  21. I heard her play Charles Sheffield once!
  22. Well done my son, well done...
  23. For £2500 I'd want a 'new discovery' of the quality of Cecil Washington not some drab 70's plodder
