  1. Damn I hope he read the PM I sent him before you posted that!
  2. So do I, was on one of my podcasts last year, actually got asked to put it on another one about 2 weeks back after I deleted the first. Dunno if I'd class it as Northern though, it is quite beat-ballardish I suppose. Great record.
  3. I'm constantly buying and selling that record but sold my last one about a month back, fair price for the one Moldie found, or you can get it on an Upsetter repress for about a fiver.
  4. Can you tell the difference between black and white Nev? Then why ask me such a daft question?
  5. It's of little importance to me nowadays but I'd happily go somewhere that played 60's Northern, 50's and 60's R & B and Popcorn. I like midtempos and beat ballads but not sure if they are suitable for playing at venues, too slow. I would have to be paid a considerable amount of money to suffer a set of crossover rubbish.
  6. You obviously didn't read the reply from the moderators yesterday about multiple sales posts!

  8. I can have a go tomorrow if you like, book is in the garage and I'll never find it now. The book must still be worth £50 I reckon. I still don't know how much to ask for Soul Harmony 45's and someone wants it off me!
  9. As I've said before, just buy Ray Charles' Hit The Road jack and sing the lyrics to Tracy over the top of it, there you go, only cost a quid
  10. I still think that's a mistake and the wrong label is on it, it's so obviously called Suspicion. That particular acetate is pictured in Simon Soussan's book along with tons more.
  11. Not a bump but I just have to add that earlier copies of the above list mentioned that I had a Soul Bros Inc - Pyramid for sale, that is now sold and it's been paid for, thanks for the enquiries.
  12. I was going to say all of the abovbe, thanks for saving me the trouble whatever version you buy, don't pay too much for it, I sold number 2 of the above a few weeks back for £25 and that was very expensive for me though it was a nice copy. It's a common record, even on Pyramid.
  13. WANTED SAMANTHA JONES - THAT SPECIAL WAY / SOMEBODY ELSE'S BABY - UK UNITED ARTISTS I've got I Deserve It on US United Artists but it has a different B side, the track I want is Somebody Else's baby. Don't mind a European copy if there is one. cheers pete
  14. Fortune Teller I think is one of the greatest records of all time, in any genre. One of the very few UK records I kept and still have. "This is for you my love" is nearly as good.

  16. It came out on demo and issue but the issue was withdrawn. I don't think there's any Philips soul record I haven't had at one time or another. The beat and psych things are harder to find than the soul 45's.
  17. No offence but that was more like a break dancing display, the dancing was good, the acrobatics were over the top and whats the point?
  18. Very nice, only ever seen one demo myself, that's definitely the only issue I've seen
  19. Why is Graham Bonney a strange choice, he has at least 3 records played on the Northern scene.
  20. Think I'll just stick with the original single. Don't really like anything else I've heard.
  21. At the last count I had 22 different Fred Perry's. I won't be adding to those with any of these new ones though, I just buy them second hand off Ebay for between £5 and £25.
  22. I did post it up...somewhere
  23. Mark I think it's on the short lived Island USA label, but apart from that, no info sorry (Island USA 2004)
