  1. Canyon is the original American label, styrene ones are real, vinyl ones are boots.
  2. Wigan, June 77, dancing to Cool Off, just when he says "Hey you over there, will you get me a drink of...pop" I did a huge handclap and it started everyone joining in for a few bars, I've actually got that on tape and it always makes me smile - was just unsual as there's not usually a big clapping break there
  3. Nah, reduced it to 75 in the end...shall put it away and bring it back in 6 months when everyone wants it
  4. The issue I had was £100
  5. There was a mint white demo here for sale 2 weeks back for £90, Eamsey I think
  6. I also had one of those. Looking back, I think it was a fake, maybe not cut that recently but certainly in the 70's or 80's. I didn't think so to begin with but when it turned out there were two or three, then I started to wthink about it. I did get one really, really interesting thing from Chris which I don't think he gave to anyone else (I could be wrong), it was the original demo version of Chasing My Dream All Over Town which is a very collectable UK release by Jenny Wren on Fontana. This one was mainly piano, slower, great girl vocal - but it only last a minute and a half because a chunk of the lacquer had come off the acetate and it was the only one in existence. I have no idea what I did with it, possibly on one of my old pc's.
  7. Thanks for any interest but sold the lot now, cheers
  8. Sorry just waiting on someone who asked to buy the lot last night

  12. That's why I said in the first post "sorry to ask this question again"
  13. It's not just records either Dave - it's record PLAYERS as well, I love Dansettes, Jukeboxes, Portable players, anything from the 60's & 70's that plays records really...if I had money and room, I;d collect that sort of stuff seriously
  14. That's exactly what it is... my records bought in the last week, a pile of sh*te in most people's opinions I know but I love RECORDS and I have done since I was 2 years old and I always will. 15. It could well be mate, thanks very much, though I always thought it was Lonnie Youngblood. I can't believe I've never heard "Tighten Up" in "Ton of dynamite" before now.
  16. Are you his best mate or something?
  17. Sorry to ask this question again but what was the original version of Ton Of Dynamite, was it by Lonnie Youngblood and they adapted it from that? Funky something Corners?
  18. You're required to register as a business seller if you sell a certain amount on ebay, they have to cover themselves legally. This guy maintains he is not a business seller despite coining in thousands and thousands of pounds every month.
  19. Because it's a forum and your answers need replying to. Some of the comments would make any normal person stare in disbelief at some of the self-righteousness. And as for recommending a cd on which we have no idea whether royalties were paid or not...
  20. How does he play that on his turntable?
  21. Better for who? What if you've got some obscure one shot record on a one shot label, nobody knows who owns it, so you're going to cut off your nose to spite your face and not own a copy in any format? Just so's you can sleep soundly at night? Jesus, 100 people got shot in Norway at the weekend, that sort of thing is important, not this trivial rubbish.
  22. I compiled that DVD and gave it it's crap title, I just took all the then available dance footage from various videos and put them together on a dvd, I did all the first DVD compilations (NS on DVD vols 1-3, Soul A Go Go and so on)
