  1. Daimon you'll be going from £1000 for the Executive Four down to £5 for the Detroit Shakers, that is a bootleg only 45, it's actually the Outsiders and is a Capitol LP only track.
  2. SOLD This is as fine a copy of this rare EP that you'll ever find, the cover is mint with no creases whatsoever, the vinyl is also mint, this may even be unplayed and the only flaw, if it can be called that, is that it doesn't have the tear-off tag on the open end of the sleeve. Tracks are: I'M GONNA RUN AWAY FROM YOU THE BOY NEXT DOOR AT THE PARTY RUN AWAY aka YOU MY LOVE this EP is the only place to find RUN AWAY. Truly awesome condition. (I will post up more overseas rarities later)
  3. People shouldn't keep using Popsike as a carved in stone reference point, there's thousands of records sold which aren't on that site, good example is a Davie Jones & The King Bees on Vocalion which I myself sold, you'd have thought a top UK rarity like that would have been included.
  4. When these came out, practically nobody knew or cared between the difference between a legal pressing and a bootleg. They were all just known as "pressings" for years and years. In some cases, like these, it was obvious that some care and attention had gone into them, master tape quality for a start.
  5. Thats just my bloody luck isn't it LOL the one I was selling was Al Pollard's so no way has it come from a new batch - this is the first I've heard about them
  6. Well he's obviously not going to pay you so you might as well name him so we all know to ignore him in the future and just stick them up for sale again.
  7. I had a Gerri Granger this week but I've been holding it back for 2 months as I thought it was a pretty tough record, I've not had one in 10 years before this and I don't expect to get another one. Ten copies in a week, are you sure John? Squires, I had this last week as well, again, had it available to list for a couple of months. Any more of my records you'd like to ask questions about?
  8. All legit I think - well the first lot definitely are (Poppies, valery, Blackwell, French Fries, Vibrations) not sure about Bobby Diamond and Harry betts.
  9. Blowing Up My Mind was tailor-made - not the RCA one but Contempo re-recorded it and issued it on a 45. Rob Haigh, Bryn's acetate of Don't Pretend minus strings turned up in Memory Lane, I always thought you'd sold it to them for some reason, I bought it, and I let someone on here have it a few years ago after they pesetered me. It was indeed just the backing track without the added violins and it was this version that Russ and Alan Rhodes used to play at Wigan in 75, before the Soul Fox 45 came out.
  10. Turns out they did that on purpose by the way...

  12. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Northern-Soul-Coasters-Crazy-Baby-/140582566578?pt=UK_Records&hash=item20bb5fbab2 another ambiguous one, he's given the run off number just to be on the safe side, hasn't mentioned if it's got AT scratched in though
  13. https://www.ebay.co.u...=item3a68a1dba0 if you buy more than one, he charges an extra 30p postage for each extra
  14. Have to disagree as I've posted above, I knew they were boots before Wigan closed, they don't become originals after years in hibernation.
  15. The last one I bought was the first (boot) press of John & The Weirdest on Tie. Bought it because someone had offered me £50 for mine, needed the money, so I sold it, then bought it a week later for half that price.
  16. Yes but the sellers will know
  17. People always tend to stick too high a price for Two People when it should really be around the £150 mark. Donna King is a very rare record, must be 7 or 800 quid.
  18. Most people who collect records know the difference between originals and reissues, when I was buying them for a quid from Russ's record booth at the casino in 1976 I was peffectly aware that I wasn't buying an original, so to say you've had it for a long time and can't remember anything about it is b*llocks really, all you have to do is write one of the words reissue, 2nd issue, pressing, boot , then nobody is in doubt that you're being honest. If you don't do that, and leave it ambiguous, then as far as I'm concerned, you're trying to pull a fast one.
  19. The thing is; it's a link to some photographs. Now the easy thing to say is either "I don't like them" or "I like them" but if you do the former you're then told that you are negative, backward looking, unencouraging and so on. They are photos, not the holy grail or the meaning of life. If people don't like them, they don't like them, just editing this bit here, why's there always a need to try to change peoples opinions?
  20. Just for info, Singing Swinging Counts isn't a Detroit 45, it's from the Carolinas. Well I'm pretty sure it is.
  21. The comments on there are excellent, both for and against, and blimey there's nobody on there telling you that you should like them or dislike them like there always is on Soul Source, how refreshing.
  22. If you can find me anyone MORE blue eyed than Friday Brown I'd love to see her! Carol Friday was also of a similar shade.
  23. It does say that in the latest guide but like you, I thought it was an out and out boot, they did Smoke Stream at the same time. And you are right, sound quality is not as good.
  24. Like I mentioned before - he comes on here regularly to sell, in fact these are being linked from soul source
  25. What I mean is, it's a typical LONDON media type of representation and the truth is sadly more along the lines of what Gigs says. Not saying they aren't nice photos.
