He probably just made the titles and artists up, Love Runs Out definitely never came out as a boot or reissue until ABC released it

I had someone come to my house 2 years ago and actually steal a record while I was there, I know he did it, he doesn't think I know he did it, but loads of other people know he did it now and like Ken's story above, none can believe it. To actually do it while I was just a few yards away in another room though, what kind of person would do that? And I've seen him 3 or 4 times since and he speaks to me as if butter wouldn't melt.

I regularly see people on here selling less than EX condition records for mint prices but because of the way it's structured with the no negative comments thing, it's hard to get a discussion going or give an opinion (thats not a criticism of the forum, it's just the way things are) but it frightens me seeing some of these prices and when people actually write SOLD next to them, I often just can't believe it. And even worse is the price that some people ask for British records, my screens been splattered with tea so often looking at UK lists on here I can barely see it!

That's an odd statement, I sell EX / MINT records at usually less than they appear anywhere else and I sell VG records for the price of VG records, yesterday I sold a Shane Martin in VG for £20 and an Ila Van on PIP in VG for £20, so I wasn't asking £75 each for them!

Hmmm...oh alright then. This was in february this year. Some people set up a new Northern Soul Night in Wombourne, and asked me to DJ the guest spot, I said I would, first time for ages, new night, classic oldies, should be good. So at 9pm I went on and started with Silky Hargreaves - keep loving me like you do. Not one person danced. Frankie Crocker, Pookie Hudson, Willie Tee. Nothing. OK, the one that'll get everyone dancing, Cause You're Mine. Six people danced. F*cking hell, this is a tough crowd. Then the requests started. "Can you play Nine Times Out Of Ten" - no sorry, not got it. "Can you play Ghost In My House" - sorry, not got it "Can you play Brainstorm" - sorry not got it "Have you got ANY decent records?" "For f&cks sake" So on we went, bit of barrel scraping, Come on Train, Too Late, You Just Don't Know, Coasters, Yum Yums, Bari Track - and so on. All these were massive records at our youth club, and although it was only a village we lived in, we filled half the Wigan coach most weeks, and a lot of these people were at this do. The most people I had on the floor at any one time was probably a dozen. They just wanted Motown records and hangbag rubbish. When I finished I exclaimed that "Wombourne wasn't quite ready for proper Northern Soul". The resident DJ came on after me, put on bloody Jackie Wilson - Because Of You and rammed the floor, he followed it with Ghost In My House, The Night, and the vocal of Soul In The Sun. I was f*cking choked to be honest, I'd really been looking forward to this, but for me it was a disaster. Now, if the people running it had stuck to their guns and let it stay as a Northern Soul night and not a handbag/Motown night, I'd still be going and I'd have bought a lot of people with me, but they were so terrified of the takings behind the bar they just wanted people to dance and get drunk by the looks of it. When the DJ played Martha & The Vandellas "Jimmy Mack", that was my cue to leave, and I haven't been back. Apologies if anyone running the venue reads this, but thats how it happened exactly, and it could have been great.

Nearly all of those can be replaced with not too much difficulty, I'm sure if we all put our heads together we could find a lot of those for Eddie from our own collections/stock? Pretty sure I've got a copy of the Sugar Billy record which I'd be happy to donate for nothing, might have a TSU also.
