  1. Oh excuse me! I won't bother next time
  2. If he is, it's not very funny
  3. Well in the UK that's how it is
  4. Here's another one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BARBARA-MILLS-QUEEN-FOOLS-DEMO-ORIGINAL-/260842555668?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3cbb6d8914
  5. Yes that's correct. Has to be funds from the actual paypal account.
  6. No you daft sod, the seller
  7. You can only send as a gift by using the paypal balance, you have to have funds in there, you can't send it using a card.
  8. I bought them all off him a couple of weeks back, soz! p.s. I'll probably sell them on again once I've recorded them
  9. People in certain countries can't send payments as gifts to people in other certain countries. On the point of safety - if you know who you are dealing with it's not a problem.
  10. I love it now, didn't like it much then, not so much as a Northern record but as a great garage track
  11. Just to say I got both of these now, £200 for the two, makes some of the extortionate prices I got offered them at look a bit silly really. £125 for Stop and £75 for the other one, both NM.
  12. Every record is different. A record may have been pressed on both the East Coast and the West Coast for instance; one will have a stamped number, one will have a scratched number. I would say the majority of records do have some kind of factory stamp somewhere in the grooves, but again, you have to know what you're looking for. It's a minefield, and it takes years and years of experience to fully understand it. In the case of Epitome Of Sound, the original issue is no problem as it was never booted on a cream issue. But there is a counterfeit demo and you need to know that it has a dip just before the centre hole. See what I mean?
  13. Mike, that one was very sneaky, it was a re recording and not the John Drevars original at all, despite the artist credit
  14. The best, I reckon. Really good cardboard as well.
  15. I do, in fact sometimes I watch films just to see the shops, cars, clothes - these are of course films from circa 1965 to 1975. Probably why I've got many rubbish films.
  16. You should definitely tell them, it is very, very poor packing and people who do it are just thick. I add 3 pieces of cardboard and still I'm worried they might get bent in the post.
  17. I personally don't think any of those Specials releases on Satch are rare.
  18. In that case he must have loads cos I bought one when I was in Lower Penn, I was only there for 6 months up to september 2009, so I know it was 2 years ago, and when I bought it it was the first I'd seen for years, except after I won it, he put another one up for sale straight away and the penny dropped.
  19. Headliners probably about 250 due to several copies turning up a couple of years back
  20. Yes the vocal side is awful but what I didn't realise was that Ian more or less copied it identically to make This Time I'm Loving You, I thought previously he'd done it all himself but it was a pretty big steal, which knocked it down a little in my estimation. I still think it's a brilliant record though, it comes on with a real energy "whoooosh"! if you know what I mean.
  21. I think that's a complete error on the label to be honest bcause the real After The Session is just some guys talking over the backing track of Betty Lavette's "Only your love can save me", a complete waste of vinyl. The instrumental version of What Shall I Do labelled as After The Session is obviously called something else.
  22. I've seen one issue of this, came in a load of cheapies I bought, this was the only UK record in there - yellow stock copy. That was 10 years ago.
  23. No not in this case, the Venecia Wilson is even better - absolute genius record.
  24. You would be astonished if you priced them all up on Amazon Chalky. I sell most of my spares for between £4 and £12, but a small percentage sell for £15, £20 and the odd one I've sold for £30. Early Ace / Kent soul cd's can be worth a fair bit too. I sold the Twisted Wheel book on there for £50 (granted, others were listing it at £150 to £250 but they'll never sell them)
