I think I've got three copies of this, 2 on Challenge demo and a super one on Belgian London with a picture sleeve. Never seen a US issue copy.

Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in All About the SOUL

Simple Question - What Genre Is Commercial Reggae Classed As
Pete S replied to Mick Holdsworth's topic in All About the SOUL
Original dancehall 78-82 is reggae, pre-digital, how can it not be reggae? -
Unbelievably calm I thought, anyway I personally thought the Barry White price was right considering just how many wants lists it appears on, I doubt the comment that it was OTT would have put anyone off.

Every Track Unissued! For Rare Soul Connoisseurs
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in All About the SOUL
Cheers guys, 365 views, countless listens, 4 comments - after serving up that lot of unissued stuff - makes you wonder why anyone bothers doesn't it. -
I did lists of all those 70's reissues, they may still be available in the Soul Source archives p.s. Dante, Tony didn't make a mistake, it is Dust My Blues aka Dust My Broom

Here's the follow up to Kingston Scorcher and Another Scorcher - I have cleverly called it It's Another Scorcher. The next one will probably be Blimey It's Yet Another Scorcher. Anyway the bulk of this one is made up of Studio One and Treasure Isle classics, and my usual suspect favourites. Someone asked me why I always put Lonely Heartaches on my podcasts all the time, it's because it's pure genius, simple as that. https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/its-another-scorcher/ CARL DAWKINS - I'LL MAKE IT UP - BLANK MARCIA GRIFFITHS - MARK MY WORD - STUDIO ONE THE INSPIRATIONS - LOVE OH LOVE - CAMEL THE HEPTONES - TING A LING - COXSONE THE TENNORS - ANOTHER SCORCHER - BIG SHOT THE GAYLADS - LOOKING FOR A GIRL - FAB KEN BOOTHE - THINKING - STUDIO ONE THE CLARENDONIANS - LONELY HEARTACHES - CRAB DERRICK HARRIOTT - BEEN SO LONG - BIG SHOT THE CONQUERERS - LONELY STREET - TREASURE ISLE SHORTY THE PRESIDENT - EVERY GOODIE NEEDS LOVE - PEACEFUL ROAD LEROY & ROCKIE - LOVE ME GIRL - COXSONE MONTY MORRIS - HE IS BACK - BIG SHOT THE HAMLINS - I DON'T CARE AT ALL - MATADOR MARCIA GRIFFITHS - TELL ME NOW - GAS HOPETON LEWIS - TESTIFY - DUKE REID THE HEPTONES - LOVE WON'T COME EASY - COXSONE JIMMY LONDON - I'LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER YOU - EXPLOSION PAT KELLY - HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE - GAS ERNEST WILSON - UNDYING LOVE - COXSONE KARL BRYAN - PARAPINTO - BIG SHOT U ROY - ON THE BEACH - DUKE REID KEN BOOTHE - YOU LEFT THE WATER RUNNING - CALTONE ALTON & U ROY - AIN'T THAT LOVING YOU - TREASURE ISLE THE COUSINS & ROYALS - WE ARE IN THE MOOD - TREASURE ISLE THE TECHNIQUES - YOU DON'T CARE - TREASURE ISLE DENNIS ALCAPONE - MOSQUITO 1 - BIG SHOT LLOYD & THE GROOVERS - DO IT TO ME BABY - CALTONE THE HEPTONES - GIVE ME THE RIGHT - SUCCESS

By 'that period' I mean the 70's
-
That's what I thought, though more like an 'Andy Whatmore' style, to go with his Starsky & Hutch cardy
-
They are kind of cherry red leather shoes with a solatio like pattern on the front and huge wooden souls with built up heels I think

This is a pretty poor job lot of 95% reissues and at the price it's currently at, the records are around £8 each which is ridiculous - and 44 bids? I put a lot ten times better than this out a few weeks back and didn't get half that amount, not that I'm bothered but I'd love to know why this is getting so much interest (I have no idea who the seller is) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Northern-soul-records-job-lot-45-s-/110765926138?_trksid=p4340.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D3912556808684519671#ht_2103wt_1398

You're right...They're from that period but aren't skinhead or suedehead shoes

Here is his reply to me: Thanks pete, I have said I am not a Northern Soul Person, and can only go on the advice given to me. I dont really understand Bootlegs, i know they mean they are not originals, that is why I have put the pictures up. All I can say is, that is a Northern Soul Person bids on them, they should know if they are original or not. If I get complaints afterwards I think the rule "Buyer Beware" would apply. Gordon

Kinnell no wonder I got so many calls on it, over a dozen people after the same record is really unusual, had a feeling it was rare but didn't realise just how rare - cost me £32, thought I might as well just double what I paid for it. Sold it for £60. Oh well....

Just write and tell him - I did

Any Millionaires Around Look @ This On Ebay
Pete S replied to Glynthornhill's topic in Look At Your Box
Glyn - sounds identical description to a lot I actually bought! Same description, radio station (radio leeds) all demos, 60's etc. Went to get them, had to hire a van, they were shrink wrapped on a pallet, got them home, I think there were 6 x 60's records in the lot. Fortunately managed to get the sellers to take them back as it was an ebay sale. n.b. was more like 3,00 records though
