  1. My names Timtam Turnon, do you think there might be something out there for me?
  2. Kev Roberts would know!
  3. Ricky - cheers - apparently Essence Of Love came out first as Eugene Smiley. At one point it was £700 but now around £400. This is what I'm told.

  5. I've read that book after it was recommended and thought it was a pile of crap, it's just about the guys clients, one of the recommended shops (in Welshpool) I went to, bloke was a right miserable bastard and had no stock!
  6. But that would be the end of my career as a professional tennis player!
  7. I can do him one at £35...different design to yours, plain white without the stripes
  8. You know what you were saying about "no offers please"....you need to put it in huge letters!
  9. Sorry about this but having received a huge quantity of records recently, there are stacks that I don't know, and I have tried to do the research before posting up. First one is CARLOS CASH & THE MONEY MASTERS - USE YOUR HEAD - CASH MONEY I know this is a guy called Carl Sims on his own label, just need to know if it has any value EIGHT EASY PIECES - IT'S GOTTA BE LOVE - STUDIO 1 RECORDS Obviously this is not the Jamaican Studio 1 label, even though the logo looks very similar. It's a fairly interesting amateurish band number, two singers, harmonies, uptempo backing. Label is from Tazewell, Virginia. Last one PAMS - THAT'S MY BABY / HE'S A CHILLY LITTLE THING - CATAMOUNT 781 Top side uptempo Northern, B side dated sounding 60's number but might possibly be retro cuts? I also need an accurate value on THE ESSENCE OF LOVE - I WANT TO SHARE MY LOVE WITH YOU on K CITY PROMO COPY thanks all
  10. It's as bad as their covers of Helen Shapiro and John Drevar's Expression!
  11. No it's a rubbish cash in cover version with an artist's name similar to the original one.
  12. It was..
  13. Same as the demo Mark. I've had them with demo labels stuck over the issues as well.
  14. Could never get enough copies of that one Chris King pressed, still can't!
  15. How much did it cost then?
  16. Thanks for the info. Probably go with the Manship price then.
  17. Any ideas on a sensible price for this one nowadays - I know I haven't had one for ten years, mint condition with it's picture sleeve. A few on popsike, those prices look a little low to me! ($250 average)
  18. It's the other side of that one Harry, just took a picture of the uptempo side. It's not great in my opinion, sounds like On Broadway meets Willie & The Hand Jive with a funky backing. Just one of those that looks interesting.
  19. * if you want to get these lists before they appear on Soul Source, send me your email address and I'll put you on my mailing list, you get the list up to 24 hours before it appears on SS PETE SMITH 4 BLAKELEY HEATH DRIVE WOMBOURNE WOLVERHAMPTON WV5 0HW Pete.smith@freeuk.com 01902 326306 NEW LIST 1 OKAY FOLKS JUST A FEW INTERESTING AND UNUSUAL MAINLY UK 70's BITS TO KICK US OFF. THE BARONS OF SOUL - YOU NEED LOVE - GRAPEVINE 2000 DEMO M- 30 This was demo only and very limited THE BELLES - DON'T PRETEND - PRESIDENT EX 20 SOLD Back in demand, brilliant track with a great B side "Words Can't Explain" THE CROW - YOUR AUTUMN OF TOMORROW - RIGHT ON M- 25 SOLD Seen this going for daft money THE CROW - YOUR AUTUMN OF TOMORROW - INFERNO DEMO M 20 I'd say this was rarer than the above to be honest. Jelly Beans classic on B side JULIAN COVEY & THE MACHINE - A LITTLE BIT HURT - ISLAND EX 15 1977 reissue GENE CHANDLER - THERE WAS A TIME - BRUNSWICK DEMO M- 20 Nice red demo with Artistics on the B side THE DELLS - YOUR SONG - 20TH CENTURY DEMO M- 50 SOLD Blimey this is a hard record to find, on US and UK - demo too JACKIE DAY (MAXINE BROWN) - TORTURE - TRIDENT STUDIOS ACETATE EX 40 SOLD Back in the mid 80's when Ady discovered the unissued Maxine Brown track "It's Torture", he had 3 or 4 acetates cut at Trident and gave them to the country's top DJ's, covered up as Jackie Day. This is one of those original acetates, still credited to Jackie Day, and I suppose it could be considered the original acetate for the Kent label release which came a year or so later. It has the instrumental on the B side credited to Jackie Day's Band. DIANE DUCANE - BETTER LATE THAN NEVER - CONTACT EX 25 SOLD UK produced modern dancer DEREK & RAY - INTERPLAY - RCA DEMO M- 15 SOLD Hard on a demo copy. Mike McDonald on B side. THE DELITES - LOVER - DESTINY DEMO M- 20 SOLD Withdrawn when Grapevine issued the same record THE EXCITERS - REACHING FOR THE BEST - 20TH CENTURY DEMO EX 40 I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen the proper demo of this before. THE M.V.P.'S - TURNIN' MY HEARTBEAT UP - BUDDAH DEMO EX 20 SOLD Is it a demo, well it's got an A in the middle and others don't have it! Still, you'd pay this for an issue anyway elsewhere GEORGE PEPP - THE FEELING IS REAL / NAT HALL - WHY - COLEMAN/LOOP M 20 SOLD Bootleg from the 90's , all but disappeared now, two brilliant sides RITA & THE TIARAS - GONE WITH THE WIND IS MY LOVE - DESTINY DEMO M 20 Nice red and white UK demo BUNNY SIGLER - GIRL DON'T MAKE ME WAIT - LONDON DEMO M- 25 Rally smart red demo SISTERS LOVE - I'M LEARNING TO TRUST MY MAN - TAMLA MOTOWN DEMO M- 25 Rare demo LARRY SAUNDERS - ON THE REAL SIDE - LONDON M- 40 SOLD Very hard to find UK release from 1974 BOBBY WOMACK - SO MANY SIDES OF YOU - MOTOWN EX 40 In-demand, comes with picture sleeve (sleeve vg++) POSTAGE £2 RECORDED DELIVERY £6 SPECIAL DELIVERY OVERSEAS £2.50 STANDARD AIRMAIL £8 SPECIAL DELIVERY (REQUIRED FOR OVER £30 ITEMS) PAYMENT - BANK TRANSFER, CARD, PAYPAL, CHEQUE, ETC CHEERS PETE
  20. Never seen or heard of this in my life, anyone know anything about it?
  21. You're right about the WD though Mark, looks superb and is hard to find as well
  22. Bit hard to know what to ask for this lately, I had one 3 months back for £40 and could have sold it ten times. I've got one now but it won't be £40 this time
  23. Yeah but thats a foreign release so it didn't come out on anything else on Wand - in the USA
