  1. So the guy who made them tells me there is only a hundred but you don't believe me or him. What else can I do apart from torture him and get a written confession in his own blood?
  2. I've seen full centre styrene records, but here in the UK, late 70's things like Blondie 45's, maybe they imported them because stocks were low in the UK.
  3. I'm sure I had one a few years back, bought of Kerrie on here I think, wonder who ended up with that, think I sold it for £800. Never had another.
  4. Full topic about that elsewhere on SS. I didn't mention it on the film cos I couldn't remember if they were Liberian, Libyan or Turkish
  5. IT wasn't even known in 1975 let alone pressed, it was pressed in late 76 early 77
  6. Everyone's description is going to be different though isn't it, if you're for something or if you're against something it's going to wildly differ. I just think the majority of crossover records THAT I'VE HEARD are just like the sort of tracks that we found on the B sides of good Northern records and never played again. Some like them, some don't.
  7. Well you just stated that only your opinion matters and nobody else's does. I don't like it, but that doesn't matter because you say I'm talking shite, next thing you'll be using words like 'uneducated' and 'dinosaur'. I just don't like it.
  8. Great record that Art Gentry
  9. And you were voted leader by who exactly?
  10. Eddie. Would you have preferred I said "It's the absolute dregs of what wasn't deemed good enough to be Northern Soul in the first place" ?
  11. I don't go out anymore. No buts.
  12. You know when you buy a big box of chocolates and there's all these fabulous flavours, and eventually you are just left with the coffee creams? That's crossover. The coffee creams I mean.
  13. Have just been back to the original post and watched the footage again. Has the night already ended? There's a huge space at the back of the hall where they are doing this, surely if it was not yet ended the floor would have been packed? Oh I don't know, the more you watch it, the worse it gets.
  14. What that was his starting price??!!
  15. Not much left now I'm afraid, had 400 or so to start with but needs must...

  17. You're right Neil. Russ was playing it as The Magicians. It was a very shortlived record, never took off or got chance to take off, I've got the first spin on a tape which is feb 77 and it was pressed not long after. I had no idea it was The Servicemen until years later.
  18. £224 with a day and a half to go. Wow. Think I might be re-assessing my vaulation.
  19. You need to relist this as the other side, nobody will bid on it for the side you've listed it for. Honest.
  20. Are you thinking of something else Robb, pretty sure it's pretty much the same as the original apart from the artist credit and it is actually and always has been an extremely hard bootleg to find, even when it was pressed (march 77)
  21. That's because it was Ady doing it, if it were KR it would have been described as a farce or whatever. Like the Soulboy movie was utter rubbish before it was even made, yet the new Northern Soul film is great despite no-one having yet seen it. Like it's so wrong for people to put on Northern dance classes, then suddenly when well known 'scenesters' decide to put on dance classes, it's perfectly fine and acceptable. Lots of examples such as this. Holy double standards Batman!
