  1. Wouldn't have been a lot dearer really though Rod as my top bid was £55 and I would have still doubled that when I sold it, which is why I only bid £55. I do the same as you usually, just look at the 'ending today's.
  2. Yeah but nobody who'd found that would have told anyone else about it...would they?
  3. What about people who use the words 'the Bay' as an abbreviation? It's longer than 'Ebay" you tw*ts. Oh and anyone who uses the words 'holy grail and even worse than that, just 'grail'. Idiots.
  4. Think it got in the charts, might have been on Pick Of The Pops! The only Lulu record I've got is To Sir With Love. Brilliant.
  5. I never featured a Lulu record Mal, I know the record, same as Patti Austin, but pretty sure I don't even have a copy!
  6. Reading the sales lists, I can't believe the prices some of the sellers on here charge. Is it some new phenomenon, trying to become the most expensively priced sellers or something? Do they ever sell anything? * at the opposite end of the scale, I've seen two or three really good lists today with very good, sensible prices.
  7. In the case of those two records, they were never issued, Bernie Williams was distributed as dj copies but I bet very few Billy Woods demos were even sent out for some reason. Know what you mean though. Yum YUms on ABC for a start.
  8. Great list mate, good luck with it, wish I had some spending power!
  9. Yeah the Four Tops "I can't help myself" album, one of the greatest lp's of all time and I almost wore the grooves out of my copy of that in 1974/75.
  10. It's on the MFP / Regal Starline cheapie ones I think, one or both. Well I'm sure thats what I had it on in the 70's
  11. I'm not sure about that though, the fact nobody saw it because it was not spelt properly, I certainly never did a search for 'Epitome', I just saw it there.
  12. No mate they are few and far between, though 60's soul boy on here got a holly st james a couple of months back for $5 or something like that!
  13. I'm tempted to say it is due to the shape of that ridge near the centre but this is the copy I mentioned that is very, very hard to tell.
  14. Thats an original mate. Sometimes you can't find the lettering without a microscope. That one I had yesterday, couldn't see it at all on the YDLM side, plain as day on the WWY side. I'll give you £6.90 for your copy if you want to sell it
  15. This conversation happens after every one of the auctions mate, Al Wilson like you say is £100 - £125 any day of the week, if people are happy enough to pay double then not much can be said really.
  16. I actually put up a badly produced punk record yesterday no claims to it being a dancer though https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-1977-PUNK-45-Jerks-Get-Your-Woofing-Dog-Off-Me-UNDERGROUND-/260927838796?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3cc082da4c#ht_500wt_1413
  17. I did, I said issue this is getting confusing
  18. Yeah thats the plain yellow label I was on about above
  19. There's an extremely good white demo counterfeit which has fooled loads of people, then the green one came out in 76/77, then a crappy white one a few years back...
  20. Theres no red and white boot of the Epitome of Sound...
  21. James Bounty original demo is actually more flexible than the bootleg. Theres also a James Bounty issue but it's plain yellow.
  22. Bizarre isn't it. is it just me that checks every 60's record on UK ebay, it surely can't be.
  23. I remember when these were made and the guy who made them said they were deliberately made NOT to be lookalikes so nobody thought they were buying originals.
  24. Over the next week I've got around 60 pressings and bootlegs going on ebay, every single one is stated as being such, anyone who doesn't do this is trying to rip people off as far as I'm concerned. (I also start them all at a sensible £4.99)
