  1. Just cannot believe that some people don't like that record. One of the ten best records ever made. Still, I don't like a lot of records other people like...
  2. Not a huge article but an interesting one seeing as we have been discussing their record recently. Jobettes article.tiff hope you can read it - it's a .tiff file whatever that is

  4. But those sleeves weren't exclusively for Beatles records - I've had them with other EMI group demos. Crazy.
  5. Unbelievable - three paper sleeves - currently at £165 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THREE-ORIGINAL-TOP-POP-SPECIAL-RUSH-COPY-SLEEVES-EARLY-1960s-DEMOS-BEATLES-/160761653203?pt=UK_Records&hash=item256e2427d3#ht_2597wt_1398
  6. As I said above, It wasn't Out On The Streets Again...it was Let Love Win
  7. Sorry about that. I saw Archie Bell & The Drells at Wigan, July 77. They were setting up while Richard Searling was doing his spot and kept slamming heavy equipment down making all the records jump. Searling says over the mic "If anyone ever wanted to see Motny Pythons Flying Circus, it's happening right here on stage", to large round of applause. I can't remember what the band were like, I just remember him saying that, as his copy of "I'm Gone" skipped from start to finish.
  8. Just out of interest - what IS the Apple key?
  9. The Mac has a fantastic utility called Grab. It enables you to select any photo or piece of text and just make a copy of it. Didn't even realise I had it!
  10. Thanks but am using a mac! I'll find out what the equivalent of print screen is, thanks.
  11. It's a good point because you only have to be away from the scene for 3 months and you miss an awful lot of records. Go away for several years and you can never really catch up. Believe me I have told Ian many times that certain records are already known. Ian didn't play Out On The Streets Again though.
  12. Roburt, or anyone, can you tell me how to cut text like that from an article? For instance if I wanted to cut an advert from the middle of the page of one of the archived Billboard magazines? Left click only brings up a hand symbol; right click offers nothing really.
  13. My car doesn't have a sun roof. Should I open the boot instead?
  14. It'll be where you set the postage for the UK Ady, it's probably hidden, where it says GIVE P & P DETAILS click next to it, it says ADD SERVICES, then you can do your overseas postage.

  16. Ian asked me about the Spy_dells record a few weeks back and I said I'd never heard of it, lo and behold someone sent me a track listing of a podcast I did in 2010 where I actually play the record, and I mean play it as opposed to nick it off a tape or a cd. So that must have gone on one of my lists as an unknown - it's followed by another record I don't remember - no idea what it is JOHNNY KASH & THE DISPENSERS - FOR CRYING OUT LOUD (GREGG) /
  17. I love the 60's stuff but have to agree about there being some very odd records on there being touted as Northern Soul. And crossover is junk no matter who's playing it.
  18. Jimmy Lloyd 'undocumented'? Practically everyone who collects British has had this for 25 years, one on ebay last week for £3.
  19. No I"m getting that mixed up with "Join our gang" by David Bowie. But it's similar to that. This is really starting to drive me round the bend now, I've spent 4 hours trying to remember what it is.
  20. Great record but slightly missing the point? French ye-ye girls. As they are known.
  21. I sold Mick Smith's acetate of Larry Hammond about 6 weeks back. For £100.
  22. No, totally different song but well known tune. Or maybe it's only well known to me. I WILL get it, soon. The English lyrics go something like "This is how we do the....." or "This is where they do the...." it's a swinging London type track
  23. Aaagh! What is this a version of...I know this song in English, really well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGa1Iz4EeS0
  24. Volume 3 is good as well. I'll go get volume 2 and see what thats about.
  25. In Mary Wilson's book she refers to a cover version by a group called The Nelladodds
