  1. Still snoring after listening to that
  2. Well I've got a divshare account already. Think the only problem is, it starts to become a lot of work when really it's just meant to be something to look at over a cup of coffee. If I was missus, kids and dog free I'd really give it a go. That's not wishful thinking before anyone says anything! On Derek's Daily thing, does he just get an embed code off divshare and paste it in?
  3. Cheers for that, have to say I don't think I've ever come across it before, sounds - not being rude - quite dated for a 67/68 production though? More like a 64/65 type beat thing.
  4. I would love to but I think they close down the sites if you put sound clips on, I might be wrong but several that I used to subscribe to have disappeared. Maybe they offered full downloads?
  5. Did I, in that case, sorry, no wonder it got confusing!
  6. Sorry, one last point here; the records on the blog are all mine, they are not nicked from anyone else's website or scans. Except, that is, for the Cajun Hart issue, which I've never had (hopefully this situation may be resolved soon) so I had to include that one.
  7. In case people aren't used to these blogs, when you get to the bottom of the page, click 'older posts' at the bottom right, and you'll get the next page - otherwise all the contents are listed down the right hand side.
  8. Er, well it's nothing to do with Watermelon Man, hence it being called something different This is a sleazy instrumental which they now call a "tittyshaker"
  9. That HMV one is rare Dave, I"ve only ever seen that once before.
  10. I think SABAM is actually a publisher / royalty type thing, like ASCAP
  11. That Jimmy Radcliffe price really is a joke. It's worth no more than £40, it actually charted in the UK. And as for £25 for The Champion - speechless.
  12. I've got those, but not the covers - any use to you - no charge. Thats if they play, I copied them off the Marginal ones when cd recorders first came out! I had the set of girl group cd's, about 15 or 16 volumes, awesome.
  13. Wake me up when it's finished eh.
  14. Not sure - don't think so - unless they helped supply some of the music?
  15. Marginal was a label that issued hundreds of absolutely fantastic cd's in the 90's, unfortunately none of them were legal as far as I know. But the work that went into them was astounding for the time. I think eventually they got busted and the owner committed suicide.
  16. Decca manufactured and distributed RCA in the UK mate, and that is one record I really regret selling!
  17. Nah - there's enough of that sort of thing around already - just want to make this about UK labels which is my main interest, but not just Northern, I want feature "interesting" records, break out of the restrictions sort of thing
  18. Cheers Paul, just started putting some text on there and have another 50 or so scans to go on in the next hour or two
  19. If anyone is interested, I've started a new website which basically is just an excuse to post up scans of interesting records, but I'm also going to review each one and share some "interesting" facts about each record, comments are enabled so anyone can join in, you can subscribe to get informed of updates (these will be daily) and you can have a look at some records while drinking your morning cuppa so here is the address https://lostvinylgems...blogspot.co.uk/ cheers Pete
  20. Just updating this, the record is in beautiful shape and plays MINT. Top offer is now £225.
  21. I swear John Vincent told me he used to just call it "The Dance Track". I also swear that at some point, the instrumental was posted on soul source OR someone sent it to me, I haven't got it now but I did have it at one point.
  22. No wonder I had enquiries about the one I had for sale for £15 a fortnight back! I didn't realise it was this one he auctioned. Glad I decided to keep it now.
  23. I think it might have part of a double pack single.
  24. Will run this until wednesday evening - current bid is £110 £150 £195
