  1. Much slower, bluesy ballad. Don't like it much. Presumably a cover. Long Time Coming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evQFCiTNoZ0
  2. Might be a legal Selectadisc repro but definitely not an original
  3. Agreed. If there were no differing opinions, it would be pointless having this forum. All people have to remember is that I'm right.
  4. Dunno, looks alright to me...don't know of I'd want much styrene in there though https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WICKED-7-RECORD-BAG-HEAVY-DUTY-STYLE-holds-80-singles-/270986008519?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3f180657c7#ht_868wt_1401

  6. You'll have a long wait, it never came out on Sue..
  7. I didn't realise it was a house record, it sounds like something that would have been in the top 30 in 1980. Like Kelly Marie.
  8. This variation has been discussed before but I can't remember what the outcome was - it sure looks like a bootleg but is it?
  9. Beats me. Worst record I've heard in years.
  10. Thats a 12" though?
  11. If you search on this site you'll find a couple of copies for sale though they all seem to be promos, £4 each
  12. I'd say more than that myself, £75, but there's a way rarer version on a West Coast press, doesn't have the coloured design like the Philly press, just a black label with lines across - i'd value that at £125, only ever had that copy once.
  13. I wrote that article Steve For records like Chris Bartley, there are no demos, just date stamps. Nobody knows why.
  14. LOST VINYL GEMS OF THE 60's - BIG NEW UPDATE... after a week or so off, have updated the site with 18 new featured records. I've also changed the name slightly to THE LOST VINYL WORLD OF THE 60's as the original name is very near to the title of a book...anyway today's updates come from: THE DYNATONES ELENA PROCESSION DUFFY POWER JACKIE DESHANNON THE CHANCES-R IKE & TINA TURNER (2) SCREAMING LORD SUTCH TONY NEWMAN TAM WHITE JEAN MARTIN BARRY ST. JOHN (2) RODNEY BEWES GARY BELL RODGER COLLINS reviews of all records too at https://lostvinylgemsofthe60s.blogspot.co.uk/
  15. Popsike quotes auction prices, not 'real' prices, if two people want the same record then a bidding war takes place and the record sells for double it's real value. That's why popsike or John Manship auctions are not accurate guides for pricing records.
  16. If this has already been posted I apologise but I couldn't be bothered to read all 6 pages again! New Zealand Pye.
  17. I have absolutely no idea what this means.
  18. No problem. I never once intimated that you were stupid. I meant that you need to hear a lot of these records to be able to understand why they become Northern Soul favourites. But I'm not getting into a debate about it. Apart from stating again that I don't consider it a soul record, I consider it, and all the other examples that I quoted, Northern Soul records.
  19. That means f*ck all to me Steve, I'd want three copies for that. You're hallucinating about the red black demo though.
  20. Well I quite like it but have no idea what genre of music it should be classified as; it's got bits of rock n roll, country, goodness knows what.
  21. No idea but if the record's as good as the title it must be brilliant! Would love to hear this.............. thanks for posting it up
  22. Jesus, see those prices??? If you go back about 3 months or so you'll die when you see what I paid for that one I was trying to get the sellotape marks off. What a fantastic record this is. I remember once having the UK issue AND demo at the same time, I had to chose one to keep, I chose the issue...
  23. Post-Stafford really I think, Keele etc, played a lot late 90's early 2000's until legal repress
