  1. Are you able to tell us who this seller is Glyn?
  2. It would take the incentive of extreme sexual favours(*)(**) to make me buy that! (*) not from Expansion staff (**) or some beer
  3. I don't think it's really worth much - maybe a tenner, despite RC listing it at £30 - had one about 6 months ago put it in a job lot of 70's UK's. It's finding someone who wants it that's the problem. I MAY BE WRONG!
  4. It's a six track 33rpm disc John, it features various variations on the Breakaway theme including the actual one that we all know, it is credited to Steve Karmen too
  5. Okay in the hope of getting some more of these sold, free postage in the UK!
  6. A NORTHERN SOUL MELTING POT Right well this one is just a mixture of all sorts really, some good instrumentals, some rare oldies, a couple of British, one or two lesser known things and a couple of items most people won't have heard including an instrumental of the Timi Yuro classic (ok so it was done on a karaoke program and you can still hear a bit of vocal but it's not bad!) and of course a few of my favourites which I'm sure I've subjected you to before. All good, solid Northern Soul though folks...check out that John Bowie demo for starters https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/northern-soul-melting-pot/ TOMMY DODSON - ONE DAY LOVE EARTHA KITT - THERE COMES A TIME CHAPTER FIVE - YOU CAN'T MEAN IT PATTI AUSTIN - SOMEONE'S GONNA CRY MARY SAXTON - LOSING CONTROL TONY MIDDLETON - TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH THE TEEN TURBANS - WE NEED TO BE LOVED TED WILSON - I CAN'T TAKE NO MORE THE THRILLERS - DETROIT CITY SOUL MONIQUE - IF YOU LOVE ME (SHOW ME) LEBARON STRINGS - HIT AND RUN THE EMPIRES - YOU'RE ON TOP GIRL DICK LESLIE - HARLEM TRAIN MAURICE WILLIAMS - BEING WITHOUT YOU THE SANDPIPERS - YOUNG GENERATION JOHNNY ROGERS - MAKE A CHANGE JIMMY ROBINS - I CAN'T PLEASE YOU THE MONCLAIRS - WAIT FOR ME RAY MERRELL - TEARS OF JOY WILLIE MASON - WHY ARTHUR NOIEL - YOU MAKE ME HOLLER THE STER PHONICS - DON'T LEAVE ME VAN McCOY & FRIENDS - HELP IS ON THE WAY FRANKIE (LOVE MAN) CROCKER - TON OF DYNAMITE WILLIE TEE - WALKING UP A ONE WAY STREET FRANK HOWARD - JUDY THE DEL ROYALS - MAN OF VALUE RUFUS LUMLEY - STRONGER THAN ME SAXIE RUSSELL - PSYCHEDELIC SOUL GLADYS KNIGHT & THE PIPS - STOP AND GET A HOLD OF MYSELF LIBERTY STUDIO ORCHESTRA - IT'LL NEVER BE OVER FOR ME KEN WILLIAMS - COME BACK JOHN BOWIE - YOU'RE GONNA MISS A GOOD THING BABY (DEMO) TY KARIM - YOU REALLY MADE IT GOOD LARRY SANTOS - YOU GOT ME WHERE YOU WANT ME (LP VERSION)

  8. I think you may have that spot on.
  9. Did I say it was shit? No I didn't. I said it was boring.
  10. Honestly - where would I have heard it?
  11. I listened to the first two that were on youtube, the second I think had an official promo video.
  12. Yes maybe, but It was just the same thing, over and over again, all the way through...
  13. Having just listened to it, I'm amazed it sold 5 copies let alone 500.
  14. Wouldn't complain at £35, it's a hard one to find on that label
  15. He just phoned Chalky and Chalky put him onto me and he told me about seeing the yellow vinyl one. Didn't say who's it was but it was a good 3 hours North of Wolvo!
  16. If I got the rights to something and told you I'd only made 100 copies and they were £20 each, sold them all, and then announced I'd just made another 100 copies but this time they're £10 each, what would your reaction be? I doubt you'd be defending me.
  17. Definitely Glen Campbell, brilliant track, well apart from some of the lyrics...
  18. Unbelievable - yet the PRS people are coming down like a ton of bricks against anyone without a music license, shops etc
  19. Good for you leaving the feedback though. I hate postage rip off merchants.
  20. This is unfair Glyn, several people on this forum are constantly complaining about and raising the issue of these type of bootleg releases, and also constantly reporting them to eBay.
  21. People collect for different reasons though. Let me quote an example (the example is me) If I buy an original British 45, it has to have a centre. I would not buy, say, a Jimmy Beaumont London demo unless it had a centre. It's worthless to me without it being complete. So this is not buying a record because you like it, because if it were, I'd buy it whether it had a centre or not. It's just one of many facets of collecting and it's very difficult to explain why you wouldn't buy a record just because it doesn't have a middle. If it were available on a reissue, I would buy the reissue and play it, but to go into my British collection, it has to have a middle.
  22. I do the latter, though I would probably stress there are 20 copies and once they are gone, they are gone.
  23. Still overly harsh on a person paying for and thinking they were getting an exclusive Roger. Hey look I'm just going on what I'm reading on this thread.
  24. So they lied, made people pay over the top thinking they were getting an exclusive, but that's all ok because they're a great record company? Very harsh words aimed at Martin who had a legitimate complaint as far as I can tell. p.s. never heard the record nor have no wish to do so
  25. Andy all of those were from 1976 not 1977 (Dooley Silverspoon 75 I think) and I don't think any bar Del Larks were played in 1997, not in the big room anyway. Obviously that doesn't stop you from hearing them for the first time in 77, I realise that
