No not exactly LOL Wolverhampton, Wombourne, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, sometimes as far as Evesham. Other times straight from Wolverhampton no pick ups. I never went to Cleethorpes, St Ives or Yate for the simple fact I couldn't bear missing a night at Wigan and that's the truth.

Have to disagree, eventually you need sleep and with the temperature up there inevitably freezing all the time, those chalets were not fit for humans. I went to 3 weekenders, I would never go again because of the accomodation and the march weather, enough was enough. In fact last two times I left after the saturday. So horses for courses I suppose, I much preferred the Fleetwood event.

The oldies allnighters were the start of the beginning of the end...we went from a couple of coachloads going every saturday or every other saturday, to about 20 of us going on the train, because the rest only went to the oldies allnighters. Yes there were bad records played but 90% were not bad records.

That's right, they're just the standard acetate/test presses. When I did the Grapevine article for Record Collector I did ask why they put out weird things like Stanley Woodruff a year after it had been popular and John Anderson said simply "because we had the rights to them"

Only because of the provenance though - otherwise they contain the same material as the released records and are therefore not really worth much - remember we discussed this about the Pye 60's acetates...
