  1. It's hard enough to sell at 150 as well.
  2. I wouldn't presume that myself
  3. Never heard of it being from 64 (where they still with Chess then?), sounds 65-66 and the second release of it is 67.
  4. There was a craze for girls wearing white socks at Wigan, late 77-ish, they wore them with Clarks red leather sandals, the type we wore as kids, then they started wearing what they called "Granny shoes", they definitely wore the socks Dave.

  6. That's nicked off the Cleethorpes tape that I put up as a podcast, which in turn was given to my by Andy Rix. https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/cleethorpes-pier-allnighter-1975-northern-soul-live-tape/ there's the entire thing
  7. I'm also using Chrome and if you are on the 1st page it just reads 1234 next last. However, when you get to page 4, it then shows you pages 5-6-7-8, pages 5 and 6 do have about 50 records on each page, pages 7 and 8 are old pages which I deleted the content from.
  8. There aren't. It goes 1 2 3 4 next
  9. Not surprising as there are only 4 pages
  10. NORTHERN AND MODERN ORIGINALS ADDED HERE https://www.rare-soul...-rnb-originals/ UK LABEL NORTHERN, MOD, GIRLS ETC ADDED HERE https://www.rare-soul...soul-originals/ CHECK OUT SYSTEM NOW APPEARS TO BE WORKING FINE! CHEERS PETE
  11. Families away and am lonely and depressed but still thanking my lucky stars Steve :-)
  12. Not quite withdrawn and replaced Steve, the red and white demos are all entitled OF your heart, all subsequent Statesides have the correct title.
  13. First one is called Dance Like The Devil. Came out twice with two totally different covers. Second one...can't remember!
  14. I live near the 4th biggest Jamaican population in the UK and I have never found ANY ska or reggae records locally in 40 years. You can work out how rare or common the records are by Ebay, like Tim says. For instance - it took me over 30 years to find a copy of Laurel Aitken on JJ - yet there's one on Ebay every week or every two weeks.
  15. No I don't think you can edit til you have like 50 posts or something.
  16. Well that's a coincidence, I only bought this on sunday! (Must be the third time I've bought it but I love those Busters All Stars insts)
  17. Hello Rod. Jed, the PHil LA of Soul release is also from 1975 as a response to it making the lower reaches of the chart in the UK. The only original is the Landa release (East or West Coast)
  18. SOLD Very rare 1963 UK issue, Wilfred Jackie Edwards & The Soulettes - Do You Want Me Again - Black Swan WI 404. Nice early dancer and extremely hard to find, especially in this condition, not seen a copy as good as this before. Condition EXCELLENT complete with centre, no writing on label. Price £35 + £2.15 recorded delivery postage. pete.smith@freeuk.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvIoxb9CDZA
  19. Well who's interested in them then and why talk about them if they have no interest in NS?
  20. Yes got two but no clapping after the records. I am sure that it was after a spin of Garnet Mimms - Looking for you that this started.
  21. I've managed to get around 100 UK label items up onto the website. It's about 50% soul and the rest is Mod, Girls, Beat, Psych and so on. An interesting way of killing a few minutes anyway. And of course the prices are sensible. If you want to buy anything you should be able to do so directly off the website or just email me to sort it out. I have about 200 more to add. Or 2000 if I add everything that's in the shed. Here's the link https://www.rare-soul.com/wordpress/ spread over 2 pages cheers Pete pete.smith@freeuk.com
  22. Steve, I have a tape from March 77 where there's clapping after the records, I thought it was later than that too
  23. It's Dennis D'Ell not O'Dell. His name was Dalziel and the posh way of pronouncing it is D'Ell.
  24. Robb I may be wrong but I think both those R & B Time releases are the instrumental backing track.
  25. I spend a year trying to sell this, telling everyone it's a great track, I eventually sell it for £40 last week, and then a want appears.
